All tours fit in with the ship schedule and depart approximately 1 hour after docking. For early arrivals a time will be advised. We meet me right outside the Port exit gates. Follow the exit path through the information centre and look for me on the grassy area outside the gates with a sign.

Great tour and Wendy was an excellent guide. We enjoyed a private van while touring the Turanga region, which was breathtaking. Wendy was from the area that gave us a very informative and knowledgeable experience.

We really had a fun day with Wendy as our guide. There were 5 of us on this trip. It advertises 8 but we never would have fit in the van with 8. Wendy was organized and ready for us to have a good day. She took us to see the geothermal geyser and mad flats. Then we went to the Maori craft school. Its where students attend for free and learn the crafts of the Maori ancestors. Then we did the Te Puia Maori show. Loved it. For lunch she took us to pick up our Hangi handpies made the traditional way. We were glad she made this arrangement as we thought we were missing out at Te Puia not eating there. This was much better than a buffet, in my opinion. We really enjoyed the show at Te Puia! After all that Wendy dropped us by the beach for ice cream and to hang out for pics of the beautiful beach where everyone was hanging out as it was a Saturday. We loved the entire day. Thank you Wendy!!

Our day was fantastic with Wendy. We decided she gave the perfect amount if detailed information, very educational but not boring. She also noted two of our 8 passengers were coughing so stopped at a special pharmacy in Rotorua for some New Zealand natural cough syrup. Both stopped coughing for the rest of the day!
Others we talked to had similar tours to ours, but we all agreed ours was the best!

We had a wonderful time on this trip. Wendy was excellent throughout, being very sympathetic with how she managed my father-in-law and his mobility needs. The pace of the trip was ideal and we were able to enjoy all of the itinerary without feeling rushed. Wendy's commentary was thorough and informative and she was happy to answer any question, however stupid it may have been!

What a great value way to tour to Rotorua from Tauranga/Mount Mongonui . Wendy was a great communicator and very patient and accommodating with our group. We got to see all the things we were interested in seeing and a few delightful surprises along the way. I mentioned i liked a hangi and being a time sensitive day Wendy organised a brilliant hangi pie at a local cafe for lunch. It captured the flavours perfectly. The couple of hours we were at Te Puia was insightful and we also got to see a Kiwi Bird and thermal park which was awesome. We were delivered back to the Ship on time with some of us kindly dropped in the shopping area to continue our afternoon at this beautiful beach area. I highly recommend this as a great value and comfortable option for a tour to Rotorua from a ship. Gather up 8 shipmates and have a very enjoyable day. Thanks Wendy.

Excellent tour! Wendy our tour guide was incredible! Her knowledge and sharing of all the sites was amazing! She even shared a golden kiwi with us when she overheard we had never tasted one. 5stars!

We met our tour guide, Wendy, on a rain threatening day. Her plans for us were already perfect but she did ask if we wanted to do or see anything special. We told he we would like to see a kiwi (as in bird) and a kiwi (as in fruit) farm.
Her plans included a drive to Rotorua to visit the New Zeeland Māori Arts and Craft Institute (a MUST DO) where we were beautifully acquainted with the Māori culture AND SAW A KIWI BIRD!
At the end of the presentation at the Institute Wendy met us with freshly purchased golden kiwis to sample and on the drive back to our ship Wendy stopped at a kiwi farm where we were up close to ripening kiwis awaiting harvest.

I was planning this trip for over a year. We wanted to go to Rotorua from our cruise ship and I came across this private tour. I can’t say enough good things about Wendy, our operator. Great experience with Wendy sharing so much about the area as we travelled. Beautiful area. Her suggestion if we had time was to take the ferry to devenport which is a beautiful little town, wonderful shops and restaurants. Wendy is wonderful.

When we got up the morning of our private tour, we believed we were doomed for a miserable day in pouring rain and wind. Instead, Wendy showed us a magical journey for our multigenerational group of 6 (grandparents, parents, and 2 young kids).
- We strolled through misty majestic redwoods lined with silver ferns in drizzling rain.
- Learned about the Maori culture and were thoroughly entertained in their songs, dances, and Haka show. Then, we toured the living Maori village (Whakarewarewa) and saw the different geothermal pools and geysers.
- Saw a variety breeds of sheep at Agrodome and watched a show which includes shearing a sheep and milking a cow. We also had a tour of the farm where we could feed the sheep and alpacas.
We all had a wonderful time, and are grateful for Wendy's thoughtfulness to turn a bad-weather day into one filled with beautiful memories!

We had a terrific time on our tour around the area including Rotorua. Our guide was very informative, pleasant, professional, and a good driver. My highlight, because I had been to Rotorua previously, was the Kiwi orchard. The four of us enjoyed the geyser, and worthwhile guided tour in the Maori village.
