This is not just a cookery class - you learn about Bolivian culture too - very interesting. Great fun cooking and food (and cocktail) delicious. It is a full three hours including eating. Kitchen and equipment spotless. Some necessary preparation is done before your arrival . Would highly recommend.

Delicious food, wonderful teacher

Andi_J, Feb 2026
We had a great time cooking with Moisés this evening. He is very thorough, and wonderfully prepared. You can tell that he has thought out what he is going to teach and how the class will flow. We learnt a lot about Bolivian culture and cuisine, and how produce is determined by the different regions of Bolivia. Moisés creates a warm and inviting space for everyone to cook and participate. You even get a visit from Charlie, the most adorable and well behaved Cocker-spaniel. I would definitely recommend this as an activity to do while visiting Sucre.

We had a fantastic Bolivian cooking class today — varied, authentic, and explained with so much heart. Highly recommended!

A fun afternoon in the kitchen

Laura_P, Aug 2025
This was definitely a fun way to spend and afternoon! Moises is obviously serious about the craft of cooking. He explained the recipe that we made (sopa de mani) really well. This is a hands on class_- we were right in there cutting, stirring, pouring…it was great fun! We had a taste of a local spicy liquor and later made a cocktail with singani and fruits. After the cooking was done, we had a wonderful meal accompanied by Charlie, the cutest cocker spaniel ever! My only wish is that we got a copy of the recipe at the end!

Cultural Cooking Experience

Typical Bolivian cuisine in small group setting

Wonderful cooking class. I cooked a peanut based chicken soup, and had a cocktail. Chef Moi changes up his recipes all the time, and is flexible to his guests dietary restrictions. I’d come back any time, to pet his dog Charlie and to eat his food again ☺️

An excellent introduction to Bolivian cooking and culture!

This class entailed creating a cazuela de maní, salsa, and cocktail/mocktail with Moíses. We cannot say enough about this class. Moíses is very knowledgeable about the origin of the ingredients and the culture of the items that we made. He insisted that we participate in all aspects of making each item and explained in detail what the ingredients brought to the soup, salsa, and drink. He was excellent about cleanliness, which was wonderful. Handwashing was constant. The soup, salsa, and drinks were delicious! Our only wish is that we could have recorded the whole thing to remember every detail of what we learned. We highly recommend this class to not only learn about Bolivian cooking but also as a great introduction to its culture.

Great experience!

Had a lovely evening cooking with Moises in his home. It was the perfect way to learn more about Bolivian food and their way of life in relation to food. Moises easily accommodated for the vegetarian in our group and kept us on track the whole way through, sharing tips he had learned from his teaches to help ensure the sopa di maní retained as much possible flavour. I loved the cocktail making portion with Bolivian alcohol as well and the drink was delicious! He also keeps an incredibly spotless kitchen! I have never seen one so clean!

Wonderful experience

Excellent hands on cooking class with Moises

Colette_W, Jun 2022
Excellent!!! Moises was very knowledgeable, very enthusiastic and had a lovely relaxing charm about him. Food we prepared and cooked was delicious with lots of cultural significance explained by Moises. This is a proper hands on cooking class. Would highly recommend Moises cooking class, his Airbnb and his lovely assistant the famous Charlie the cocker spaniel - see Charliecockerboliviano on instagram!

You must do this in Sucre

Jaeyup_J, May 2022
Moises is a great host. The experience is very well organized. He doesn't only give instructions on cooking but also the background knowledge of all the ingredients we use. I didn't knew there were so many different types of potatoes! The dish I cooked was not just Bolivian but a Sucre special. Everyone who wants a local experience and a full belly must try this. I had icebreaking shot(alcohol), entering dish, cocktail(Mosies original), main soup, and dessert 초강추합니다.

Ein schöner Kochabend

Jana_T, Oct 2024
Ein leidenschaftlicher Koch, der sich viel Mühe gegeben hat, uns die regionalen Produkte und Traditionen beim Kochen näher zu bringen. Wir haben viel gelernt und das Essen und der Cocktail waren suuuuuper lecker. :)
