Saw a turtle. The PIZZA was amazing from the floating pizza restaurant. So many beautiful fish at the sunken sail boat. John and Mave were absolutely amazing and would highly recommend being on their boat. They were very considerate, knowledgeable throughout our trip, helpful with people who this was their first time snorkeling. The overall experience is a must do when in St Thomas. Thank you so much for a memorable time.

The boat ride was fun to start with, Jackson was awesome and great to talk with. Pizza pie wasn't very good pizza, but that's not stormy pirates fault. Any pizza is still ok when your hungury though. Overall a great day, we would highly recommend them, my wife and I prefer them over the VI Cat excursions!! More relaxed

We had an amazing time on out trip. Captin John and shipmate Heather were great. Very knowledgeable and made sure our comfort was their top priority. We seen turtles at all our stops and only had one other couple on-board with us due to a cancelation. Very peaceful and laid back day. 10 out of 10 would recommend this trip/ crew!

Carly and Kevin were amazing! I have a tendency to get seasick and they were very attentive and checked in with me frequently. My drink was never empty! Kevin always had a sense for when I was almost done and offered another. Food from Pizza Pi was delicious. The snorkel spots were so beautiful. My husband and I had so much fun and met some great people on the boat. This experience was a major highlight on our honeymoon. We can’t wait to do another tour with Stormy Pirates! The captain and first mate did such a great job making us feel welcome. It was so relaxing on the boat. Loved snorkeling with the sting rays and star fish. A few turtles as well. Over all a wonderful experience

From start to finish this was a wonderful tour!! Check in was quick and easy; we enjoyed a cup of freshly brewed coffee while waiting for the guests to arrive. Our guides (Victoria, Tyler and Carlie) were the best! They were personable, knowledgeable and took very good care of us. We had all ages on our trip and fun was had by all. They served a nice light breakfast when we boarded and drinks of all kinds were included and served throughout the day. The guides were knowledgeable about the history of the islands and the sea life which made for a very interesting day. We had been reading about Pizza Pi, so were happy to book a cruise that included a boat side delivery of their pizza fresh out of the oven. We enjoyed snorkeling at both stops and saw all that they promised including several turtles (even a couple of babies), rays, a shipwreck, coral reefs and lots of fish. It was a day we will always remember thanks to the wonderful crew, friendly guests and beautiful island scenery. We would definitely book this or any other trip with Stormy Pirates!!

Captain John and Sierra were great. Super nice and helpful. The family had a great time snorkeling, the water was beautiful and even though there weren’t young children with my group this trip is great for the younger one’s. Definitely worth it. Only disappointed because store closed early so we didn’t get to buy any souvenirs.

It was a fun day, however it was very windy so the water was a little stirred up, so visibility was not great. Both my husband and I had knee injuries which made getting in and out of the boat a little difficult and walking if the boat was moving. The pizza came right as we were getting for the 2nd snorkel, so timing was off. The pizza was very good.

The captain and bartender, were so pleasant knowledgeable. Explained in full detail all areas we traveled and showed patients with equipment. Not to mention the delicious fruit, drinks and pizza. Let’s not forget the yummy cookies and muffins. I would love to do other tours with them. It was such a joy.

The boat ride was so nice. The staff (John and Sierra) were AMAZING and told us a lot about the islands and were fun to be around. We snorkeled with sea turtles and sting rays and it was truly an amazing experience. Highly Highly recommend

Great excursion! Our captain, John and Lacey were amazing! We saw some amazing sites! Saw quite a few turtles, a boat wreck, a lovely catamaran sail & a champagne toast at sunset! Having less people on the boat, as well, was amazing! Also, we had some of the best rum punch I’ve ever had in the islands. :) It’s usually all watered down and this was not the case here! There ended up only being six guests, so it was definitely more of an intimate affair, and extremely enjoyable! I can’t recommend this excursion enough!

Our trip was great. Sierra and Dalton couldn't have been any better. Sierra was quick to offer refreshments and trivia about the area. Dalton was an excellent captain and shared his knowledge about the area, too. We would recommend this trip to everyone. The small group size was also a nice feature of the trip. It was so much better than sharing the boat with 50 to 75 other people.

This was an absolutely lovely way to spend an afternoon, meet new people, enjoy the underwater world and created new memories for us all. The crew - Mason and Connor - were helpful, informative and absolutely accommodating. Their skill and gentle wit only guided the rose. The vessel itself, was clean and roomy and yar. Make your reservation now. No matter how much it costs, it is worth it!

The captain was friendly, knowledgeable and very astute in his duties. The co-captain lacked severally in hospitality. Starting from the initial meeting. We got there 30 mins early only to have them arrive 15 mins before expected departure and told it would be 20 mins more because they still needed to set up. No problem we waited patiently as we are on island time. And. we were all so excited for a "rare" combined family trip.
The hopitality from the co-captain seemed a "forced" can I get u anything throughout the 7 hour trip. And being scolded for ALMOST walking wet into the galley to get my towel (never being told not to) was certainly uncomfortable. Not to forget being told after the fact that it would've been better to put my flippers on at the end of the boat rather than while I was patiently waiting for families to slowly get in the water could have been avoided. The pizza was decent aside from the blackened bottom portions. The drinks were plentiful although most times when we needed something we'd rather get it ourselves to avoid disrupting their plans. We were a family of 5, the youngest who were 18 and 16. Several ppl in my party got sea sick from sitting up top thru choppy water for so long. Totally understood that this is unavoidable but some mention of after effects should've been discussed in the safety meeting. No offer to alleviate or ask if they were ok. We still tipped as I had fully planned whether it was a good experience or not but just be forewarned small groups aren't the best when employees aren't happy people.

Our crews arrive to the boat about 1.5 hours before each departure. The owners of the company are also on the dock every morning helping to get the boats ready and off the dock on time. What you saw, 15 minutes before departure, was your crew arriving with the fresh ice for the day. This is the last thing we do to prepare for departure, we restock the boat with fresh ice and then set up the arrival platter of snacks. The crew had already been there for an at least and hour preparing the boat for your trip. Every Stormy Pirate's trip has left on time for over 5 years(unless we have waited for late guests). WE DO NOT OPERATE ON ISLAND TIME!!
We are also VERY safety conscience. You CAN NOT walk into the galley wet and this is mentioned in the safety briefing. If the floor gets wet, the floor will get very slippery. We do not want you or anyone else to fall. Same with the "flippers" (fins), you CAN NOT put your "flippers" on and then walk to the back of the boat to get in the water; you could fall. These "Slower" guests were smart enough to know that they carry their fins to the back, sit on the sugar scoop, put them on ... then get in the water. Putting your fins on before getting to the back of the boat will not get you into the water any faster. It will just make your walk to the back of the boat more dangerous and make you look really silly trying to walk there.
You said "The drinks were plentiful although most times when we needed something we'd rather get it ourselves to avoid disrupting their plans." - Our crew members all have extensive Coast Guard training their jobs are:
1.) Safety operating the vessel
2.) Keeping the guests safe
3.) Serving the guest.
Safety operating the vessel and keeping our guests safe come before getting you a drink. Yes, our Crew sometimes have to attend to boat things like anchoring or getting a mooring ball. They even have to attend to safety related things like making sure someone isn't walking across the boat in their fins or cleaning up water in the galley because someone walked in there wet after being reminded not to multiple times. Safety items will come first and foremost and some days when the Crew needs to babysit adults the amount of time spent getting you a drink may be limited.
You are on a boat, in the Caribbean Sea, maybe we are wrong in "assuming" that MOST people would know that there is a likely hood of getting seasick. (but...we also assume that most people know not to walk across the boat in their fins too).
All of the team members at Stormy Pirates LOVE what we do, and it shows in our over 1500, five star reviews. We are sorry that a Stormy Pirates boat day did not meet YOUR expectations, but there are just some families that aren't meant to be on a boat with a group of other people. These are the same type of people who try to put their fins on and walk across the deck of a boat.

My husband and I came down from MA for a week and this was one of our excursions. It was amazing! Everyone on the boat was so friendly, the capitan and his wife were so welcoming, they told us about different things on the islands and they were just so great! I would recommend this trip to anyone!! Thanks for such a great time!!

Don't come hungry. The crew and boat was great but they had nothing to eat on the boat. They had a couple pieces of fruit. pizza isn't ready until 4:30 pm so we were starving by the time the pizza came

Tony_G, this is great advise for ANY excursion that you may go on. Whether you are taking a boat ride, jeep excursion, hike, scuba trip ect., no one should ever arrive to the excursion hungry.
NOW, if you would have read your confirmation email or even the reminder text message sent to you, both include a reminder to you to make time for a good breakfast before our trip, because pizza is served in the middle of the trip, and not at the beginning.
When you get onboard, we serve homemade banana muffins and fruit. In the middle of the 7 hour excursion, (about 3.5 after you board the boat), we serve Pizza from Pizza Pi, and at the 5 hours point we serve homemade chocolate chip cookies.
Over the course of 7 hours, we feed you 3 different times!!
For example, if you eat 2 banana muffins, some fruit, 3 slices of pizza and 2 chocolate chip cookies this adds up to about 900 calories which is more than enough to sustain a normal human being for 7 hours. (BTW, our guests are not limited to 2 muffins, 3 pieces of pizza or 2 cookies. This is just what a typical guest may enjoy.)
If you are someone who needs to eat more than 3 times in 7 hours, or are a picky eater, you are welcome to bring along any other snacks that you may like.
I am glad you enjoyed the crew and the boat. I am sorry you didn't thoroughly read your confirmation email or day before reminder text message that was sent to you suggesting that you eat a good breakfast.
Remember, we are only tour guides and not your mother.
