I enjoyed horseback riding with Ranger. The coolest one of the bunch. What a lovely experience, as it was my first time. The view at the top of the hill was breathtakingly refreshing and amazing. I recommend this tour to any first timer.

Fantastic experience. Both guides couldn’t be better!! Very nice, very accommodating even for the novices in our family! Bottled water handed out at the end. We highly recommend!!!!

Temper expectations. Horses are in ok shape- mine had sores from the girth rubbing. Equipment is old and worn out but functional. They did provide helmets which were sprayed with disinfectant before and after we rode. They have a lot more horses than what we saw at the corral, so they seem to rotate them in and out regularly which was good as it is a strenuous ride. Never felt unsafe on the ride, but it’s definitely a mixed bag between paved roads, dirt trails with washouts, steep, rocky hills and a gorgeous view at the top. There were some uncomfortable moments- dead dogs and or pigs on or next to the trail, but the guide warned us that it might be smelly. Didn’t get a lot of information from our guide- he spent most of the time trailing the group or talking on his phone. We’d figure out where to go next when the trail forked and would turn around to see what direction he waved us to.

The guides were excellent. It is definitely a long trail. All the way up the mountain for the view, and then all the way back down. Would recommend longer shorts. My inner thighs were killing me.

Awesome experience. It has been a while since I rode. Make sure you have no back problems and use your core. Listen to the guides and be the boss of your horse. One tourist just kept letting her horse keep eat. Every time her horse went to eat, mine would try to pass but her horse would not let him. At one point, her horse kicked at my horse and my ankle was hit. From then on, I kept my horse back as far as I could. Wear sunblock and long pants. I wore shorts and got a few scratches from the branches, bushes, etc. Dismounted and walked for great views and pictures. Great and friendly staff. Recommend this tour.

This adventure was a perfect getaway from the crowds of the cruise ship. My husband and I did not know exactly what to expect when booking this tour, but we were pleasantly surprised by how incredible the journey was. The horses are docile and the guides are experienced. You ride the horses all the way up to the top of the mountain, so it is definitely not a flat ride. The view from the very top is absolutely breathtaking. We would highly recommend this tour.

Great experience. Nigel was very good with me and my daughter as we were a bit nervous since this was our first time. Beautiful views from the top of the mountain. Made it back is just over 3 hours so we were at our hotel in a good amount of time. Good experience for first timers

Don’t waste your time or money. Nothing really to see but goats.!!! Our guide did not even have a Horse. He walked the entire tour therefore the horses kept his pace and hence the six hours. Nigel is a great guy, and good sport. That is my one positive take away!!!

Nice way to see the island but could be better run. When we arrived at the facility, no one welcomed us or let us know the next steps. We literally waited over 30 minutes while the workers did not communicate anything to us. They leisurely rounded up some horses and saddles. One horse was very badly injured which was gut wrenching. The actual ride was very enjoyable. It was a very nice route that led you up Outback terrain to see the island from a different view. The ride time was very ample and it was a nice pace; not rushed. We really enjoyed the horses and the countryside. If the experience was better run with good communication, my review would drastically change. Is it worth the money…not sure. Just know what you’re getting.

This was such a disappointing tour. The trail itself is littered with garbage. The wildlife you’ll see are goats and farm animals. The tour is basically a quiet trek up the mountainside. No engagement from the guide. No bottled water as stated. The ride lasted 90 minutes NOT 3 hours as rhe booking claimed.
The horses don’t seem well trained at all so be careful. Viator will not refund you at all. Waste of time and money.

This Guest we waive our pick up charge for picking them up at Park Hyatt a hotel that is far away over 30 minutes drive from our base. The 3 hours tour includes the transport time. We have to include transportation time so people have an accurate time of their total experience.
The animals are trained and did the tour as described. Despite our gesture they still request not a partial refund but a full refund

Sadly, in good conscience, I can’t recommend this tour. Having owned horses for 20+ years, it was upsetting to see the condition of these poor animals. They are overridden and not in good condition. An old white horse was left saddled up after the previous ride and struggling to breathe when we arrived. Another horse was dragging the toes of his hind hoofs and swinging his head struggling to get thru the ride. Our entire group felt horrible and very sad riding the horses. A good amount of the ride is on a concrete road and the terrain that’s on a wooded path is littered with trash. We passed by a small farm with a dead pig laying in the pen. Our guide didn’t have much to offer in the way of conversation which also detracted from the experience, however my poor review is primarily due to the health and the condition of the horses.

Driver was an hour late and only came when the concierge at the hotel messaged him. it ended up being a 90 minute ride. No compensation back from Viator, disappointing.

Great horseback ride! Beautiful views from the top of the mountain! Guide was very laid back and let us walk, trot, whatever we wanted. Horses were all great. Ride is only 2 hours, but very nice through wooded area and saw wildlife and great scenery. Picked us up from the port and brought us back with no issues. Would definitely recommend!

We had so much fun on this ride! It was cool to see local life, the trek up the mountain & all the wildlife, the views were beautiful, horses were healthy, the staff that work at the stable are awesome...I'd definitely recommend!!

The best part was the views and a fantastic service from LeRoy ( he drove us to and from the horse farm)
He was also very informative and friendly
On the other hand, the tour guide Nigel, let my daughter lead the group and her horse was constantly walking into bushes and tall grass. I wasn’t with the group other wise I would have put a stop to that.
My daughter has many scratches on her leg and even though she voiced her concerns, Nigel didn’t react at all.
He rode his horse at the back of the group which consisted of my daughter and two of her friends. Nigel was on his phone for most of the time and didn’t provide any information regarding the tour unless asked.
The riders were not offered any water either even though it was stated in the description of the tour.

Leroy (Leeroy? Sorry if misspelled!) was fantastic. Because of some small hiccups we were picked up a little later than expected from our hotel (not at all their fault). To make up for it while they found someone that could do our tour, Leroy offered to drive us around the island a bit and tell us about the history of the island and different interesting facts, as well as giving us plenty of recommendations for the best restaurants, beaches, attractions, etc. When we got to the stable, it was nice to just relax and chat about each others countries and our lives and nature while we waited. It made the extra wait worth it to just enjoy a good conversation with a great, welcoming personality.
The horseback tour itself was beautiful. Plenty of incredible views going up the mountain, got to see plenty of animals like monkeys, chickens, sheep and goats, and the top was gorgeous. Going down was a bit tougher because if you’re not used to riding horses it gets taxing as it’s a pretty long tour. Overall definitely worth it!!
