This excursion is a great way to get a sense for this unique Caribbean island’s wide variety of attractions, both natural and cultural.
Start your day with pickup from your Basseterre or Frigate Bay hotel or Port Zante. Then proceed through St. Kitts’ capital city on your way to the day’s first stop for shopping. During your retail visit, take time to admire the historical architecture of this fascinating city, known to be one of the oldest in the Eastern Caribbean and home to such landmarks as Independence Square and St. George’s Anglican Church.
Depart from Basseterre as you proceed to the day’s next visit at the Caribelle Batik (admission not included), situated at Romney Manor. Take some time to explore this former sugar plantation at your leisure, making sure to stop by what are likely the most beautiful gardens in all of the Caribbean.
Head next to Brimstone Hill Fortress National Park (admission not included), home to some of the best-preserved fortifications in the Western Hemisphere. Wander this historical site on your own, learning about the role of the various Dutch, French, Spanish, English, American, Carib, Amerindian, and Arawak cultures that have called this area home.
Continue on a scenic drive along the island’s scenic palm-fringed northeast coast, swinging past Dieppe Bay where the Caribbean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean merge at the Black Rocks. Check out the sleek black cliffs formed by centuries of erosion and admire the towering peak of Mt. Liamuiga, the 3,792-foot (1,156m) extinct volcano. Then head back to your original departure point to end your tour.

We took this as a shore excursion from a cruise ship. The tour gave us an overview of the main attractions of St. Kitts, but the Brimstone Hill Fortress was the WOW factor of the entire cruise. We were told to meet our driver at 9:30 am and we had to wait at the cruise dock until 10:15 am because the bus was picking up other people at hotels. Waisted almost an hour of our time on shore. Then due to over crowded locations the excursion toke longer then we were told so by the time we got back we had to re-board the ship and never got to the beach to swim

Thank you for your review. The required meeting time is correct 30 minutes prior to departure 10:00am..
In order to facilitate the tour a minimum was required as indicated in the booking information.
With regards to the crowded locations whilst on the tour this sometimes occur as other persons seek to explore St Kitts as well.
We excuse the negative experiences as mentioned and perhaps on your next trip this would not be the case and you will be able to visit the beach. Thank you for visiting our beautiful island.

Arrived by ship and meeting point was accurately described and starting point tour was at the cruise terminal. Tourguide/driver gave a good overview of the island and also knew many details about flora and fauna. Skillful and safe driver too. In summary: a very pleasant tour.

Although our tour did the stops, out of 14 of us only 2 wanted to go to the Mud Bath and that took a lot of time for 2 people, then we had to wait for the same people at the waterfall even though they were out ahead of the rest of us, so some of us wanted to spent time at the beach but only got 15 minutes to jump in and out. Maybe make the tour with no Mud bath and more beach. Our tour guide was great and accommodating for the group, and very informative.

I choose this tour over a cruise excursion. Cheaper and More private than the fully packed vans from cruise excursion. I was the only one in my royal Caribbean cruise who booked with viator instead of cruise. Only my family of six was in the van. Very private. I had a great driver tour guide junie. Visited all the sites same as cruise excursions. If you are in st Kitts for cruise. Book this tour instead of from cruise. They meet you at the terminal building just like cruise tours.

We didn’t actually get to go on the tour! We booked online and the night before the tour company emailed to say they do not offer afternoon tours at this time. I would like a refund!

This tour included a stop at a batik factory with a demonstration of how they dye the cloth. It was fascinating. There were lots of batik clothing for sale and I wished for more time to browse. Next was the Fort built in 1690's. It sits up on top a hill. The view is spectacular! The buildings and walls were massive. We very much enjoyed our visit to the Fort. We recommend this tour.

This was an OK island tour which we would probably rate 3.5 stars if that was an option. We had a very full van full of people so it was sometimes a little hard to follow everything the driver was saying to us. We had an opportunity to sample a variety of local foods during one of our morning stops and a boat ride to a remote beach was provided during the afternoon. Overall we would say this was worth the money spent although it fell just a bit short of some of the other Viator tours we have taken.

This was a really great tour of the island. It was interesting to see how the batik was done, everything was beautiful but expensive. The garden was really nice too. When you go to the fort it will cost $10 per person to get into the national park, be sure to bring money for this. The fort was my favorite part and I wish we had more time, it was really interesting and the view is amazing. Our tour guide SQ was fantastic, we really got more than our money's worth from this tour!
