Fall in Love with St. Kitts

Our guide, Janeel, provided a very in depth and fun tour of the island. He was extremely knowledgeable about so many aspects of St. Kitts. We learned about the history of the founding of the island, slave trade, sugar cane and rum production, and today's lifestyles and government. We were treated to some gorgeous sites, including a rainforest, dormant volcano, and a wide view with the Atlantic Ocean on one side and the Caribbean Sea on the other. He was able to answer questions with wonderful details. We fell in love with St. Kitts! This tour is not to be missed, especially with Janeel!

Good but could’ve been better

Well, the tour was good and informative. I felt like there was a few things that can make it better. There was no pre-departure information sent in regards to what we wanted to see for the day so I felt like the tour was prepped to just drive us to the beach, which isn’t what we wanted to do. We did see some of the more popular historical highlights of the island. However, it was never mentioned about cost to enter various sites which probably should’ve been pre-disclosed. Overall, the tour was good for the price. Just some small improvements and preplanning would’ve made it better. Also, the tour guides, phone, ringing, and receiving text constantly took away from the experience.

The BEST sightseeing tour in St. Kitts!

If you are looking for a sightseeing tour of the island, this is THE ONE. We were so happy with our trip. Janeel communicated with me before the tour day to make sure we knew where to meet him, just outside the cruise port. Found him easily and we enjoyed a nice new air conditioned van. The tour was very informative, explaining the island, culture, and people. He took us everywhere we wanted to go, from the beach to the cliffs and everywhere in between. We have had past bad tour experiences and not receiving what was advertised. But this is not the case with this tour. It is a private tour with lots of information and time to explore all the highlighted sites. Everything was on time and better than we hoped for each stop. Do not hesitate to book this tour. We are so glad we did!

Great experience that I highly recommend. Janeel was prompt, professional and very knowledgeable. He customized our tour to include visit to fortress, and even arranged pick up of traditional lunch food. This was a great way to see the island!

Beyond the Beach: Unearthing the Soul of St. Kitts & Nevis with JB Taxi & Excursions

Absolutely fantastic experience with JB Taxi and Excursions! From the moment Janeel picked us up, we knew we were in for a treat. Not only was he incredibly knowledgeable and engaging, but he also had a natural way of connecting with our 6-year-old daughter. He made sure she was comfortable and entertained throughout the entire tour, pointing out interesting sights and telling stories. The Basseterre city tour was insightful, blending the old and new with fascinating historical tidbits about landmarks like Independence Square and the poignant former slave quarters. Cruising along the Island Main Road offered a real glimpse into the island's culture and history. The stops at Berkeley Memorial were interesting, but Bloody Point carried a heavy historical significance. Janeel explained that this location is a somber reminder of 1626, where approximately 2000 Kalinago people, the native inhabitants who were forced to move, were massacred by combined French and British forces. It was a moving moment to learn about this tragic event in the island's past. Wingfield Estate Sugar Plantation Ruins were captivating and became a real highlight for our daughter! She was thrilled to find two small avocados that had fallen from a tree, and Janeel kindly helped her plant them near the entrance to the river. This hands-on experience was so special for her. We also had our first taste of fresh sugar straight from the stalk here, where a vendor expertly prepared it into delicious sugar juice – a truly authentic local experience! My wife especially loved seeing the unearthed old copper vats at Wingfield Estate; you could really feel the weight of history at that site. Caribelle Batik at Romney Manor was a sensory delight, with its stunning gardens and the vibrant batik factory. Afterwards, we had a truly delicious lunch at Janeel's sister's restaurant – a real culinary treat! Timothy Hill with those breathtaking panoramic views of both the Atlantic and Caribbean, plus Nevis in the distance, was simply unforgettable. But the adventure didn't stop there! When we mentioned we were feeling very adventurous, Janeel went above and beyond, organizing a ferry and a fantastic private tour of Nevis with Tariq. Exploring the poignant church near Jamestown the city swallowed by a rogue wave, soaking in the natural hot springs (wow!), and visiting Alexander Hamilton's birthplace made for an incredible day trip. Janeel Boon and Tariq Dore are both incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and genuinely care about providing a top-notch experience. Their passion for St. Kitts and Nevis is contagious. If you're looking for more than just a taxi service and want a truly immersive and personalized exploration of these beautiful islands, look no further than JB Taxi and Excursions. I booked a tour of St Christopher with Janeel. I was lucky because my booking was the only one that day and he was very accommodating to adjust the tour given my location on the island. The ride was great and the conversations were fantastic. I learned a lot about the history of the island and the local conditions. I will only book with him the next time I’m on the island. His wife was also along for the tour, which was nice to get her perspective also.

Our guide Janeel is extremely knowledgeable about the island. A very kind and patient person answering our questions and explaining the history of the island. He knew the great focal locations for our group photos and also took great group photos for our group. Janeel took his time and had gone beyond our expectations of the tour of the island. He was aware we were celebrating our honeymoon and our friends were celebrating their 50th anniversary, he treated us both with a single rose for both of the women. Out of our 4 islands, this was the best and most informative and amazing tour.
