Shane was fantastic! This is a must do when visiting St. Kitts. He is very knowledgeable about the history of the island and goes out of his way to make you feel at home. We had local food, stopped by his house to see his mom, went to a secluded area for lunch from a local place, and stopped to see his garden and dog on the way back, on top of all of the major landmarks. This was a beautiful first experience for us not being familiar with the island. We would recommend this for anyone, especially first time visitiors. Thank you Shane!

10/10 hands down! Shane offers the best combo tour: educational, relaxing and fun! He shared local pastries, beer, rum and Tinga soda (big hit with our 8yo kids). He even showed us his house and we got to wave a hello to his mom!! Oh the love and pride this man has for his island is palpable! Small group of 12, Shane facilitated engaging discussions amongst us and shared his deep knowledge of the history of the island. Our lunch stop was fantastic, right on the beach. Here is where Shane surprised us the most: our kids wanted to stay a little longer at the beach. We were considering getting a taxi back to the port but Shane offered to pick us up later in a smaller van. He 100% cares about his customers, treating us like family. Do not hesitate to book his tour, you won’t regret it. When we visit St. Kitts again, we will surely reach out to Shane. We wish him, his son, and his whole family the best of luck!!

This was a one of a kind outing! If you are looking for a small group, personal and fun experience, this is for you! Shane made this excursion one of the best we’ve done on any cruise. If this is your first time to St Kitts, then this is a fantastic excursion for you. Shane even took us to the part of the island where he resides and showed us his property and we even got to meet his mother! We stopped to get lunch from a local restaurant in his town and took us to a small beach area with covered picnic tables. We saw all the places that the cruise tours go to, but we were in our own small tour and could go at our own pace. He was extremely knowledgeable about the island and made it very interesting. We would highly recommend it!

We had a wonderful tour with Shane. His love and passion for St. Kitts is contagious. The tour was filled with personal touches including a chance to see the less well traveled parts of the island and we even got a chance to wave hello to Shane’s mother ☺️! When we come back to St. Kitts we plan to reach out to Shane again and take a second tour.

We had a fabulous day exploring the stunning St Kitts with our amazing guide Shane and his son. Shane is rightly very proud and passionate about his country and happily shared his vast amount of knowledge with us. We had a fabulous private tour with Shane seeing all of the amazing places on the itinerary and more. Shane supplied us with cold beers and drinks and took lots of gorgeous photos. We were able to spend enough time in each place. Shane showed us where he lived and we met his mum. We particularly enjoyed the stunning Black Rocks, Brimstone fortress and Timothy Hill with their amazing views. We saw a demonstration of Batik at the gorgeous Romney Manor. We finished the day at the beautiful Frigate Bay.
We had a really fun day exploring stunning St Kitts. We would strongly recommend doing this amazing tour with Shane, he is the best!!

You will not be disappointed. Shane is probably the best tour guide we have ever had. He is personable fun had so many interesting facts about the island and he shows you everything. The real Saint Kitts, as well as the beautiful beaches and resorts that dot the island. We stopped for lunch at a local restaurant picked it up as a to go and went to a black sand beach and ate our lunch there. If you like history, don’t miss walking through the fort at brimstone Hill. It was spectacular. We were never rushed. I just don’t have enough good things to say about this experience.

This tour covers the entire island of St. Kitts including both local and popular tourist attractions. We booked this tour through Viator while on a Princess Cruise. The tour is about 5 hours. We were back to the ship approximately 3 hours before departure. So we had plenty of time to visit the cruise port and unwind before dinner. Shane was our tour guide. We have used Viator many times for our excursions and Shane was the best guide we have ever had. He has great knowledge and history of the island. Shane also has a positive energy that shines through with his outgoing personality. Note there were 9 of us on this tour. The bus we had could probably accommodate 16 people so we had plenty of room, very comfortable ride. We visited interesting historical sites, took great pictures of beautiful Frigate Bay, and had snacks and drinks all the while Shane shared facts about the island, his life and answered any questions we had. Great experience, highly recommend this tour.

This is a great tour, giving the local flavour of the island and places visited. The tour guide was very personable, knowledgeable about the island and customs, very friendly and had a great positive outlook. The one unpleasant stop was at the top of Timothy Hill because it was absolutely packed there, we could hardly get the tour vehicle into the parking area - but of course, this is outside the control of the tour operator, just unfortunate for our visit.

We had a great day with Shane. He picked us up from the Marriott and drove us to the port to meet the rest of the tour. He gave us raisin bread and water while got settled on the van. Shane shared a lot of great information about the St. Kitts and we found ourselves still talking about all we learned for the rest of our week on the island. We are very happy we got to see so many beautiful places like Romney Manor, Brimstone Hill, and a black sand beach. We had a great day with Shane!

Shane and his son gave us one of our best tours ever. He picked us up and showed us his beautiful island. He made sure we were taken care of and fed us a delicious lunch. We even had Ting with a sting! His knowledge of the island was extensive. By the end of the trip we felt like he was family.

Highly recommended! This was a very well-planned and organized tour! Shane took us on a “real” tour of the area! We had a special, authentic lunch in a sweet spot by the beach. Shane told us many stories about the history of St Kitts and Nevis. He could answer every question we asked, with insight and sometimes humor. We tasted rum and chocolate, saw how batik is done, and went to beautiful gardens and a cigar rolling demo. He drove us to a beautiful scenic overlook for some photos. Then drove us to the resorts area to see another beach, we could have stayed awhile but we decided for a quick stop. Such a fantastic day. He had us back to ship with plenty of time. We will definitely call him for future visits to the area!

This is a great day out. Shane explained the day before we set out, water and snacks distributed, car impeccably clean, staff helpful all day. Shane is a wealth of knowledge about the island history, and very attentive to all guests.
I can't choose a highlight but the lunch at the beach on the verandah with lapping water and cool breeze would come close. Could have sat there all day.

We travel quite a bit as a group and have had guides all over the Caribbean and Europe, and I can confidently say that Shane was the best guide we have ever had. This was a cruise stop, and we only had one day in St. Kitts, but Shane made that single day feel incredibly meaningful and unforgettable.
What set Shane apart was the personal touch he brought to the experience. It was immediately clear how much he loves his island and how proud he is of where he grew up. He didn’t just show us the highlights — he shared his St. Kitts with us. He even took us by his home so we could meet his mother, which was such a special and unexpected moment that made us feel genuinely welcomed.
Shane took us to a local beach bar where we tried local rum, showed us both the tourist side and the non-tourist side of the island, and even introduced us to a beautiful black sand beach. By the end of the day, we felt like we truly understood the island — its culture, its people, and its heart.
We left St. Kitts feeling connected to the place, in love with the culture, and incredibly grateful for Shane. If you want more than a standard tour — if you want an authentic, memorable experience — Shane is your guide. I cannot recommend him highly enough.
