We booked this tour with the option of being picked up in Fredrikstead where our ship was docked. When the driver didn’t show up on time, we called him, only to find out he wouldn’t take us to the meeting point of the tour unless he had more passengers. By this time we knew we would be late for the tour, so made calls to the tour operator as well as to Viator customer service. SO, we missed the tour, to our great disappointment; but we were refunded our money.

Our guide was very nice but I wouldn’t really call this a tour. She kept saying she would take us wherever we wanted to go but we didn’t really know where to go. It was our first time on the island. The company says they will contact you to map out your tour a week ahead but they didn’t. They sent a message the day before and not having great service- I didn’t even get the message until we were on the tour.
I booked the tour and told where we needed to be picked up. The day of the tour, the company called and wanted us to pay $40 at pick up, $40 at drop off and a 20% gratuity. That would have been $140 more than what the tour already cost. We paid an extra $40 at pick up and a $60 tip. The total was $320 plus the $100 extra for three people.
The same time (4.5 hours) of this tour on St Thomas was $40 per person plus a tip. St. John- private tour 4 hours, 3 people $226 + 60. Both of these tours were excellent guided tours!
Basically the driver was just that, a driver who shared some of what she knew. Compared to the other tours that were a third of the cost, this one was really a waste of money.
Again the driver was extremely nice but I would not recommend this tour to anyone and it is way over priced.
