They did not change their hours online. We showed up at 4pm. They closed at 3pm instead of 5pm. Very upset we didn't get to do tour.

One thing I will say is that the presentation of course depends on the presenter, the one running the show, giving you the information, and keeping you entertained and engaged. Our guide was a bully to guests on the tour. There’s playing a character role and there’s reading the room. Calling people four eyes, bald-e-locks, and other names was very childish. We returned to the jail during the ghost tour and had a different guide and he was very engaging. So it just depends on which tour guide you are paired with. The history I learned was interesting.

Our tour guide Benny was AWESOME! he’s so funny and knowledgeable. His character as a person is memorable and made my sisters and I experience a blast with many laughs! If you book this tour you MUST see it with Benny. You won’t regret it!

This is a must-do experience if you visit St. Augustine! Very engaging, and Patrick, our guide, shared the history of the jail in an authentic way. My kids loved it, especially when my husband was selected to be placed in the "birdcage." So fun!

Clarence T. was an engaging, entertaining, and educational guide. We loved 239 beans joke and the interesting information about the term ”jail bird.” Being able to go inside and get a taste of what the prisoners at that time experience was a mind blower! We love history and this is one of the best ways to learn it!
