Initial impressions were not good, we were given the pick up time of 8:45, but the bus didn’t arrive until 9:20. We then went to our first stop which was to rent equipment, snorkels etc, if you didn’t have these. We booked this tour as we had these already, and didn’t want to pay to rent.
What was not advised in advance, is that you must wear a buoyancy aid, and if you don’t have one you need to rent this from the shop - they only take cash (eur or dollars I believe), so if you don’t have this you’re a bit stuck (we’re English and don’t have either currency) and didn’t bring any money or card with us, as we believed we booked a tour that required no add ons.
The end result was we needed to essentially borrow off the guides, and pay them when we were dropped off.
Once we got the national park, everything was much smoother! First stop snorkelling was fantastic (again there are some Egyptian natural remedies for sale here, but you need cash). The gate of allah, mangroves, earthquake crack were all really cool to see, and we got to see a manta ray! The guide was great at volunteering information about the local history.
Particular highlight was the magic lake, it’s absolutely beautiful and I only wish I got more images as it had a fantastic backdrop! Would almost come back to sharm just for the magic lake and snorkelling!
We could then purchase photos from all the stops from the photographer for 30€ (again we needed cash). All photos were great, and a good value for the quantity. Would definitely recommend purchasing these!
Overall, we would definitely recommend but would advise bringing cash!

We liked the park, saw lots of beautiful fish. But:
- we spent a huge amount of time (2h 35 minutes) to go from hotel to Ras Mohammed: stops at other 5 hotels, stop for renting the snorkeling gear, stop at a supermarket...We complained and the answer was: "other tourists may need these stops". However, on the way back, the bus went to our hotel as second, maybe because we had complained.
- We were curious about the places we visited (for instance: why the lake is called "magic"? when was the "door of Allah" built?); but the guides did not explain anything by themselves, we had to ask them every time.

Thank you for your feedback, we will try to avoid this next time

Somewhat boring. Stark landscape, not that interesting. Better coral reefs elsewhere in Sharm.

Esperienza raccomandata.
