Itinerary
Whether you’ve opted for the morning or sunrise tour, meet your guide and small group at a specified pickup location close to your hotel.
Then, head into the rugged countryside to visit three carefully selected family-owned wineries, many with distinctive architecture. As you travel, hear about Santorini’s long wine-making history: Archaeological evidence suggests that vines have grown here for thousands of years.
On arrival at each estate, learn about its traditional or modernized wine-making processes, view the vineyards, and follow up with a delicious wine tasting. Sample the different wines, most of them white wines and dessert styles, alongside tasty local bites.
Learn about the indigenous grapes that go into each wine, and taste a total of 12–14 different wines. As you sip, sniff, and swirl, admire views over the vineyards and Santorini’s stunning landscapes, and swap tasting notes with your fellow wine lovers.
During your travels, hear fascinating background on local winemaking traditions from your guide, gaining a clear understanding of the magic that happens between growing and bottling. Stop at a vineyard to see the island’s unique vine-growing methods close-up. Winemakers train vines into basket shapes on the soil to shelter the grapes from Santorini’s winds and sun, and counter the harshness of the volcanic soil.
Your tour ends with a drop-off at your original departure point.

My husband and I had the most wonderful time tasting the wines of Santorini. The truly best part of our tour- exceeding the lovely wines, fabulous scenery and breath taking vistas, was the passion our guide, Nick had for Santorini wines. We could tell at the first winery we visited, that Nick was constantly challenging himself to learn more about the uniqueness that is Santorini Wine culture and wine as a whole and he was gifted at meeting us at our current knowledge level and sharing his knowledge in a truly enjoyable way. Our guide, Hercules, was very entertaining and engaging. We thoroughly enjoyed this excursion. We learned that wines made in Santorini are not exported, so it was very nice to enjoy local wines exclusive to this region. I would recommend adding this excursion to your Greece vacation. We were picked up at our hotel and dropped off at a different location (per our request) in order to explore a different city after the excursion. The operator made this very easy for us.

Do the tour!! The wine tour was an amazing time! Our guide was so knowledgeable and kept it entertaining throughout the entire tour. It was nice to see the connections they had with the wineries as well. This was one of my favorite days in Santorini. We ended up getting some wine shipped home too!

Our guide - Constantine - was EXCELLENT. I can’t say enough great things about this experience. Constantine was so knowledgeable and was well respected by all the wineries representatives we visited. We visited Gaia, Art Space and Venetsanos (sunset views).
We had a great time and the group was very small (4ppl total) so we were able to ask questions and have laughs along the way.
I’ve done the wine tour in Santorini once before, but this time the selection of wines and wineries was top-notch.
I’d recommend this be a must do for anyone visiting Santorini - I will definitely do it again.

Savas was an excellent tour guide! We really enjoyed our day. The wines he selected were all very delicious and of a wide variety. It was the perfect amount of time and the bus was very nice. The other couples on the trip were also great!

My husband and I really enjoyed this tour. These wine tastings are nothing like in the US. Tastings equal full glasses of wine in Greece, but that is nothing to complain about. We definitely got more than we asked for considering our guide was a sommelier. Make sure you try the Vin Santo wine. By the end of the tour, no one was ready to leave. I'd definitely book this one again if I ever find myself back in Santorini. Thank you for a great experience!

I highly recommend the Santorini Wine Roads Tour - don't miss the opportunity to tour the island, visit several wineries and taste these amazing wines. We were fortunate to have Stavros as our guide. He was personable, knowledgeable and professional - truly a pleasure. We visited Gaia, Avantis don't miss their grape based creams and lotions! and my personal favorite - Sigalas. We chose the group tour and enjoyed sharing the tour with other travelers - there were 7 of us all together.
Really - this is a must - one of my favorite things on our trip to Santorini!

I cannot say enough good things about our guide, truly, our Sommelier, Panos. We went on this tour at the beginning of our trip and Panos completely turned around a rough travel day. He was not only friendly, helpful and knowledgeable, but his clear passion for wine was contagious and made the tour incredibly meaningful. He went above and beyond to make this tour special for us and even gave us excellent suggestions of things to do while we were in Santorini.
The wineries we visited were beautiful and learning about their history was surprisingly very interesting. We truly enjoyed the wine at each of the three locations we visited. The snack pairings at each winery were clearly a thoughtful choice to enhance the specific wines we tasted. Our tour began at 3:30 pm 15:30 and Panos made sure our timing allowed us to enjoy the sunset at the last winery. If you schedule anything for your trip, it should be this wine tour.

This was an amazing tour with several wine tastings. The group included just six people, so we got a very personal experience. The tour included stops at three different wineries with several wine tastings and snacks at each. My only disappointment was that I was not able to ship wine back to the United States from any of the wineries.
