Itinerary

Receive a morning pickup from your Santiago hotel and transfer by air-conditioned van to your first sightseeing stop at the city’s “Club Hípico de Santiago” (Equestrian Club).

Learn about the inspiration behind this elegant piece of architecture, which was inspired by a similar club in France, and then proceed on an architecture-themed trip through one of Santiago’s oldest and wealthiest areas. You’ll proceed from there to the city center to check out landmarks including the Government Palace (La Moneda), the Post Office Building, and the Parade Ground. You’ll also visit either San Cristobal Hill or Santa Lucía Hill, two of the highest points in the city, depending on which option you’ve pre-selected.

After visiting one of these two scenic overlooks continue to the Fine Arts Museum of Santiago, then on to Bellavista, one of Santiago’s hippest neighborhoods. This bohemian district is home to a range of trendy businesses ranging from art galleries to antique mansions to cutting-edge bars and restaurants. You’ll also learn about famous Chilean poet Pablo Neruda.

Leaving Bellavista, stop by a traditional Chilean craft shop and visit the city’s Central Market. You’ll then be dropped off back at your hotel.

Excellent Santiago tour

Vladimir_L, Feb 2026
The tour was excellent, No, we know so much history of Chile and Santiago, We saw a lot of beautiful places, and we fall in love with Santiago, The tour guide is very knowledgeable and and very friendly and very helpful to all group. It was wonderful experience to work to work with Lewis.

Good introduction to Santiago

Andrew_A, Feb 2026
Daniel was friendly informative with good English. We enjoyed his company. I had a bad chest, so he was able to pace things well for me. We still saw plenty. The views up the chairlift hills was worth it. City colonial architecture was very attractive. Felt very safe throughout

This tour is a scam

frank_t, Feb 2026
This is an unreliable tour. We pay for the tour and waited in our hotel from 1pm until 4 pm and no one show up. We text the Viator helpline and also the tour group chat with no response. It is a scam as far as we concert. Do not book this tour. When we as Viator for refund after we get home from South America and they want us to have photo to prove. What kind of tour business is this? They know they didn’t pick us up and left us stranded in a foreign city and wast our precious travel time. A terrible experience and a mistake to use Viator as provider.

Santiago city tour far exceeds my expectations. Highlight of this trip!

Kim_J, Nov 2025
What a wonderful surprise to find out my friend and I had our own private tour with Giovanni! Exploring this beautiful city in a private vehicle was the perfect way to take in all the must-see sights and learn so much more than just the basics. Giovanni’s knowledge of the history, culture, and geopolitical background of this vibrant place really made the experience worthwhile. His English was great—and I even got to dust off my college Spanish. I highly recommend him and this tour company.

the best of the city

Tiago_E, Oct 2025
We loved the tour! Our guide, Christian, is very devoted and helped us on everything we needed, letting us take all the time we wanted at each spot to explore take pictures.

Fun and knowledgeable experience.

Hector_O, Oct 2025

Maria_K, Mar 2025
Nicely varied tour that covered a good amount of Downtown & some surrounding areas. Good overview. Sunday was a good day to take since traffic in Santiago is lighter.

Great experience

Roy_B, Mar 2025
The guide was on time and willing to adapt what we saw to the desire the four of us had. Super good value.

Great city tour

Quyen_N, Feb 2025

Santiago overview

Dave_K, Feb 2025
Good mix of walking and mini bus activities. Saw all the major sites at a good pace. Both guide and driver excellent. Gave us some good tips on whatelse to see.

A perfect experience to see the highlights of Santiago and it’s fascinating history

Gary_L, Jan 2025
Consuelo was an absolute gem and it was a pleasure to visit Santiago with her. She spoke perfect English and was happy to tailor the afternoon to suit us .

Fun and informative!

MariaIsabel_H, Jan 2025
This was the perfect way to start our trip to Santiago! We landed in the morning, rested and had lunch st our hotel, then went in this tour. Ignacio, our guide, was in touch with is beforehand and pickup was easy. His English was perfect and he was extremely knowledge about thr history of Chile and Santiago. He related information without overwhelming us and provided many helpful suggestions for the rest of our stay. I highly recommend this tour!

Christopher was fun and informative

Lynnes_E, Dec 2024
Christopher was knowable at was able to take us all over Santiago on rush hour....El tráfico no fue problema para conocer la Cuidad!

Great walking tour

Lena_T, Apr 2024
Daniel was a great tour guide! I would highly recommend him. My one suggestion for him would be to clean the inside of his car before picking people up. I had white pants on and inside was very dusty/dirt and could barely see out of windshield. Minus that the actual tour & Daniel were great.

Driver Christian was very...

Pradeep_G, Mar 2024
Driver Christian was very nice and friendly. However, nothing is worth mentioning about the tour, and the tour is not worth the money charged. Metropolitan Cathedral was the only thing on the tour for viewing and it was closed. There was an impressive and long list of "what to expect," in the tour description, but hardly anything of substance. Moreover, in the description at the time f booking, Cerro San Cristobal and Cerro Santa Lucia admission fees were included. However, we had to pay the entrance fees, and we saw only one place out of two.

Good half day tour!

Henry_T, Feb 2024
Cable car ride and views at stop off points. Also walking tour of business and government offices area was informative

Basic, good price friendly guide

Patrick_G, Feb 2024
Variety of stops and historic district but driver didn’t seem too happy to put AC on when it was 94 degrees

Very well and pleasant

Xinran_W, Feb 2024
Erick showed up earlier at the pickup place and notified us. He was knowledgeable and also noticeably prepared for guiding us through the trip. His English was fluent and easily understood. Unless other guides who would wait at the bottom, He went up the steps with us personally pointed the spots to us, which feels very nice and helpful. We learned a lot during the tour. The whole tour was a pleasant journey thanks to Erick.

Too short

William_W, Jan 2024
The cathedral in Santiago is wonderful. Our guide took us to several other areas in town and then left us to walk back to our hotel. Unfortunately the tour only lasted 1 1/2 hours - nowhere close to a half day.

outstanding

stephen_p, Jan 2024
the private tour was outstanding! Erik was personal, friendly, passionate and knowledgeable. It was a perfect blend of walking and driving in the car.

Nice city tour

Maddison_G, Dec 2023
Eric was a great tour guide! He took us all over Santiago and was very knowledgeable about the history of Chile. Would highly recommend!

Didn’t go on this tour

Carla_S, Jul 2023
I didn’t go on the tour. A private car came to pick me up. I was the only one to sign up for this tour. I was not comfortable getting into a private car with a strange man in a foreign country.

Great tour guide

Elizabeth_N, Jun 2023
Daniel was great! Very knowledgeable and accommodating to what our interests were. Great introduction to Santiago and Chili!

Good first look at Santiago City

DAVID_Y, May 2023
Good guide, good local knowledge . Tour could be longer to see more of the City. Cerro San Cristobal mountain interesting the Funicular up gave you a great view of the city. There are many churches which appear interesting and should be on the itinerary

Great overview

Patrick_D, Apr 2023
The half day tour of Santiago was outstanding. Our guide was a wealth of information especially concerning the political history of the country. He timed getting us to see the changing of the guards so we had a front row view of the procession. The gondola ride and the views from Cerro San Cristobal were wonderful and you could see all parts of the city.

Never picked us up or informed us they weren’t coming. What a disappointment.

Colleen_W, Mar 2023
They never showed up at the hotel to pick us up. We had a previous email that we were all set. Kept calling the number with no results. Asked the hotel conceriege for assistance and they told her they canceled it because they didn’t have enough people. Never informed us or did we see an apology. Don’t use these people, now waiting for a refund. Very, very disappointed as it was our only opportunity to see Santiago. Colleen Wilbur

Marcela was an excellent...

Kathleen_B, Mar 2023
Marcela was an excellent guide. She and the driver personalized the tour just for us. It was very interesting and so informative. Thank you!

Very informative guided trip

evie_s, Feb 2023
The information our tour guide gave us. He talked about the history of the city and the country. Really enjoyed it. Good value for money

MTO tour a fiasco

Claire_G, Feb 2023
MTO agency was a fiasco. We waited one hour on the day of the excursion and no one came, they had made a mistake on the day. We were foolish enough to rebook for the next day, and no one came either. The excuse was a vehicle problem, only after we waited past the time and complained. Totally unreliable, a bad experience. There is a what's app number to call, but no one responds to calls or texts! Unprofessional to say the least.

Quick City tour.

dianefik, Feb 2023
Yaman was the highlight of the tour. His knowledge and history was amazing. The Funicular was great.
