Hop on hop off bus

Karen_B, Feb 2026
Good commentary, well worth the time and money. Will say that the stops could be more clearly marked.

The meeting place was...

Lauren_J, Feb 2026
The meeting place was easily found. The host on the bus was super attentive and explained everything.

Grand Overview of Santiago!

Alan_N, Feb 2026
Miguel and all of the drivers and assistants were friendly and very helpful! Many stops near major destinations! The funicular to Church has outstanding views!

Driver and guide were not affiliated

Jennifer_D, Jan 2026
Driver's vehicle was not road worthy. Should not have been approved to transport tourists. Had re-tread tires. One came apart at high speed. Could have been a serious accident. He had no spare tire. We had to take an Uber from half way back to Santiago adding big expense. Two hour delay.

very good way to see the sites of the city of Santiago and learn of its interesting history and culture

Great tour

DAunn_S, Dec 2025
This is a great tour and definitely hits all the highlights. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Loved the app to track where the buses were. Without signage marking the bus stops it was a little difficult to locate where pick up was going to be if you did not get off at that stop. More buses running the route would be nice as well.

Service quits off almost an hour early while you stand and wait.

John_S, Dec 2025
I purchased these tickets for December 23rd. I arrived at stop #6 and waited. After about 20 minutes a bus finally approached, however, it abandoned the route and turned off at Compañía de Jesús. I could see it do this from where i waited. It was 17:40. Ten minutes later a second bus approach stop #6 where I stood waiting. I watched as it also abandoned the route and drove off down Compañía de Jesús. Another ten minutes passed and 18:00 arrived. All of this activity could be observed in the app in real time. I took screen shots. The service I paid 45USD for is supposed to run to 18:00, but if the buses abandon the route early, the servicedoes not run to 18:00 or 17:20 for that matter. I complained Turistik. They acknowledged the problem. They offered me service on replacement date after my flight left for the Northern Hemisphere, but not a refund. Suffice to say this was not what I expected. I do cannot recommend duch a service.

Think twice before you deal with this tour operator!

SAMUEL_A, Sep 2025
If you try to cancel your reservation, you will be charged 100% cancelation fee - which has never happened before. This is unacceptable. Be aware! Be aware!

Much cheaper to buy...

Joseph_M, Aug 2025
Much cheaper to buy directly from an agent. Stops were difficult to find as no signs. I’d recommend but buy on the bus.

Disappointed with Hop On Hop Off Santiago

Robert_M, Mar 2025
The city has a lot to offer; but the bus trip missed information on 6 of the 10 stops. The earphones which are normally very helpful were not on this trip. They had a lot of static. My wife and I were very disappointed. We have scheduled a two day experience in Buenos Aires and are hoping the experience will be much better.

Great opportunity to experience a lot in just one day

Toby_G, Feb 2025
Staff was amazingly supportive to this lady traveling alone with limited Spanish to get her through. I’m grateful

Failed service

Robert_R, Feb 2025
Failed service! Lost money! Did not get pdf of ticket! No map showing where are pickups; no links on their email, email does not exist. Never trust them.

Cost is too much for the tour based on information given along the route

Judith_G, Jan 2025
Difficult to find the stops, need more information prior such as Tourista App and map of stops. Frequency between buses is too long usually a wait of 45 minutes. On board staff were attentive and helpful!

Santiago

John_C, Dec 2024
We’ve done a few other Holp on Holp buses in different cities, and this clearly was the best in terms of service from the staff

Great experience!

Kathryn_H, Nov 2024
Always the best way to scope out a new city, then stop where you want to spend extra time! We loved this city, and feel like we know our way around a bit! Buses are clean and timely, city needs to trim the branches that hit the second level! Makes it exciting tho!

Hop on/hop off ok, not great

Arlene_I, Nov 2024
Seeing the city on a busy Friday afternoon, lots of traffic, impatient drivers, tall buildings. The technology system for listening did not work very well....idea is good but the reality is that we passed most of the places identified verbally and could not really figure out what it was referring to.

High Quality - Well Run

James_S, Nov 2024
High quality, well managed, good run-thru of city. Easy on-off setup. Stops well placed. Staff friendly and solid English.

Bus never came

Susan_M, Sep 2024
We went to the place listed in the information to catch the bus. We asked a security car if this was the right place since there was no sign. He said it was on the other side of a very big and busy street, so we went there and waited over an hour. We asked a local shopkeeper, and he said the place had been moved a block and a half away. We went there and waited half an hour. A bus drove by but didn’t stop. To top it off, the bus driver shook his finger at us like we were doing something wrong. We gave up. Only good news is the company was prompt with a refund.

I have impression about the town

Rimantas_E, Aug 2024
I saw the places which I missed in previous days in Santiago walking according to the map and visiting museums

Good introduction to the city. Allows you to choose the sights most interesting to you and provides transportation.

good time

teresa_h, Apr 2024
weather was great for this trip we had a nice time with the guides on the buses. would recommend people use this bus

Very Disappointed !!!

Gerry_A, Feb 2024
very disappointed, After asking the taxi to take me from the airport to the first address mentioned in the mail at the meeting point ( cost me 30 $ ) the bus never showed up after 1h30 at that place, walked 3 KM to go to the other point Plaza D armies, it is so big and no details about where the bus will come for P up, never found it, will not recommend at all - need more accurate data about meeting point very disappointed

Cheaper mode of transportation around city.

Kelly_S, Feb 2024
I think the purpose of the double decker tour bus was just a more cost effect mode of transportation around Santiago. We did not receive any history or information of any of the sites that we stopped at. It was more of a drop off/get on at each stop. We also had a hard time trying to figure out the specific location to get on the bus to start the tour. This information was not given in the ticket.

Poor Signage, but good tour once we found the bus stop.

Richard_M, Jan 2024
Most bus stops are not marked. The address we were told to go to, to meet the bus was 7 blocks away on a different street. Three locals tried to help and sent us to 3 different locations. Fortunately, the last one got it right. So we met the bus 1.5 hours late. However- once on the bus, the staff was friendly and helpful. The tour narration on our headsets was good and interesting. Also, the bus was not too full, which made the tour easier and more enjoyable. One more issue: several headphone jacks (plug-in spots) were bad, with a lot of static noise. However, we did find two that worked well.

Helen is an outstanding tour guide. She's very knowledgeable.

Roy_B, Jan 2024
The pace is very nice. We had plenty of time for what we did............. That's ever, thing thatvi need to say.

Fun timel

AnneG, Jan 2024
Great way to see the city and know what you would like to go back to later. Was a hot day and in the bus you got the cool breeze.

Perfect day!!

Melissa_B, Jan 2024
We had a fantastic time. Got on and off the bus 3 or 4 times and hardly any wait for another bus. It was a great day!!!

Highly recommend this tour

Walter_B, Dec 2023
Very interesting tour in English and other languages. Jumped off to tour several of the stops, buses showing up when they were scheduled. Highly recommend this tour.

An enjoyable and satisfying experience.

MADHUSUDAN_G, Dec 2023
The bus covered the major touristic attractions in Santiago at a speed that afforded easy sightseeing without getting off the bus. The commentary was clear and good. The ticket conductor was helpful. My favorite stop where I got down was the San Cristobal Hill from where you get a 360 degree views of the city and the Andes range. It was simply wonderful. The bus tour is a good way to see the city in a leisurely way.

Overpriced, unreliable and low value. Can't recommend.

BobbiColdicott, Dec 2023
Firstly, no information on specific pickup locations or times was provided as promised. I live here so could locate one by asking security at the MUI (stop 10). Good luck to foreign visitors that don't speak Spanish. Why they can't provide a map of stop locations online is beyond me. The contact phone number for the tour company didn't work. No one replied to requests for information after booking. My Viator ticket didn't work on board--staff promised to provide a different QR code, but never did. Once on board, it took nearly 15 minutes to get earphones and a map. Audio information is limited with awful hold music in-between blurbs. Digital audio system on one bus didn't work at all--and you need phones that you can plug the earphone jacks into. Buses were very late--we waited an hour for a pickup after Plaza de Armas in the sun with no seating--very difficult for my elderly guest. No stop at La Moneda, with no announcement given. We were only told after I asked why we were going the wrong direction and nowhere near the palace. There's no way you could make more than a couple of stops and finish the circuit before they stop service. We started at 10am, with only one 30 minute hop off, and finished the loop in 5 hours. In fairness, staff on board were very friendly and multilingual. You can buy tickets on board. Overall, super overpriced for what we got and a lot of time in traffic in areas of little interest. Wouldn't recommend.
