Good tour but wrong advertise
This tour was advertised as a trip to the San Francisco Glacier, which was the main reason I booked it. Unfortunately, we did not reach the glacier at all. The final destination was Laguna de Morales, and we never continued to the beginning of the glacier. The guide explained that the trail was closed, which I understood for safety reasons. However, if the glacier is not accessible, this tour should not be advertised as a glacier tour. This is misleading. Laguna de Morales is beautiful, but it is not the San Francisco Glacier, and travelers deserve accurate information before booking. This was a shared tour, and while the guide was polite and the views were nice, transparency matters. If the trail is often closed or access depends on conditions, this must be clearly stated in the tour description. Many of us choose this experience specifically to see the glacier. Overall, it was a good  day trip, but the advertising is inaccurate and sets the wrong expectations. I would not have booked this tour if I had known we would not actually reach the glacier.

Great guide, picturesque hike!
This is a very doable hike and is majestic and beautiful! The end features a picturesque scene you don't want to miss! Hermo was an outstanding guide, he stopped at points of interest at my request. He made the hike very enjoyable, carried the water, and provided a great lunch!

Beautiful hike with a great guide, but the tour company could have been better
Overall, this was a good experience but I find that it could have been better planned and communicated with us beforehand. Let’s start with the great - our guide Juan Paulo was amazing! He knew where exactly to go in the mountains on the trail and prepared very well for the hike by bringing extra food, knowing when to go to the hot springs, when to take a break, etc. He’s a very nice person and we would highly recommend him as a guide to anyone. What could be improved - the person we were liaising with from the tour company was not very responsive and we had specifically requested an English speaking guide as we do not speak any Spanish. We adjusted our travel plans to accommodate for a different hike day to get an English speaking guide and 24 hours before we were informed that the guide spoke minimal English. When I followed up to inquire further, I received no response. The guide ended up being Juan Paulo, who was great, but I walked into the day feeling uneasy at first. In addition, the description of the event mentioned that we needed a moderate level of fitness to be able to do the hike. I tend to disagree with this. It was quite a long trek with a high altitude towards the end and it’s clear that having specialized equipment like hiking poles and shoes would have made things a lot better for us. I believe the tour company could be a lot more specific with the requirements of the hike. Overall, the mountains are still beautiful and the guide we had was great! However, I give this experience 4 stars for the poor communication with the tour company beforehand. Ironically, it felt like we had better communication with our guide who mostly only spoke Spanish. The variety of travelling, I suppose!
