After reading about the very sketchy airport taxis I knew right away to pre book transportation for the safety of myself and my family. This experience with Grupo Futuro was exactly what I had in mind. They met us at the airport, personally escorted us to the vehicle, and had their professional driver, Mister German, safely drive us to our hotel in the business district of Santiago. I will no doubt utilize their services again next time I am in Santiago. Avoid the taxis, and use Grupo Futuro, it’s the smart thing to do.

We booked a 4 1/2 hour tour with pick up at our hotel. What transpired was closer to a 7 hour tour with our wonderful guide Fernando. He was well versed in all things Santiago, and not only took us to the main sights but also some out of the way gems! The communication ahead of time via WhatsApp was invaluable. Awesome Time!!

Awesome time! Quick trip to the mountains/horse ranch. The guides and the horses were amazing and had a lovely ride with beautiful vistas. Finished the ride with wine and charcuterie. The group is small, the travel time is minimal and the experience was unforgettable- definitely book this!!

Chilean Cruisin’

A great way to burn some calories while learning about various elements of Chilean life. Rey and the other guide (we didn’t catch her name!) did a great job keeping everyone safe throughout the tour. One of the coolest things about our booking was that being a Sunday, Chile shuts down the main road to promote an active community which allowed our group to cruise along faster, farther than if booked on any other day! The stop in the market was enjoyable as we walked the numerous rows of stalls to get immersed in the hub of the market. A fresh juice and snack powered everyone for the back half of the tour where we checked out the Park of Structures. Our family enjoyed the friendliness of the team and the pace of the ride. Definitely book this tour if you’re visiting Santiago for the first time! Thank you Rey and team for a memorable ride and glimpse into Chilean life.

Amazing day trip from Santiago

This tour was one of the highlights of my time in Chile! Seeing a penguin in the wild, another item checked off the bucket list! Jimmy is a great guide and took care of every single detail. Eugenio was our guide...

Eugenio was our guide today. We had a small group of only five people, so the experience was almost like a private tour. Eugenio did a great job of explaining the significance of the various sites on this tour of the beautiful city of Santiago. He was very patient in allowing any of the group members to take a few extra pictures, or explain something in greater detail. This tour was an excellent experience and a great value. Private Half-Day Andes Hiking Experience from Santiago

A fantastic excursion, start to finish!

My adult daughter and I booked this as a half day outing when we were in Santiago for several days. Easy to reserve online, and bonus points that Ecordua picks up directly at our hotel! Our guide, Frank, was friendly, knowledgeable, and full of enthusiasm for the outdoor activities available in the greater Santiago area. As others have noted, the hike is rocky and steep for the first 15 minutes or so, but becomes a nice dirt path after that. The provided hiking poles were helpful for stability. When we asked what flora/fauna we might see, Frank gave a short list which included small reptiles, rabbits, and condors. Not five minutes later, a HUGE condor circled right above us, what a tremendous sight! The hike felt good - a moderately challenging hike that left us feeling accomplished, but, not worn out. We enjoyed the wine/cheese picnic after (with yummy strawberries, stuffed olives, chips, etc.), and continued chatting with Frank about the local area, and our trip in general. Really, a lovely outing, we recommend this!

The hotel I was staying...

The hotel I was staying at had 2 lobbies. Driver waited at one and husband and I at the other lobby. Fortunately the driver was diligent and walked through both lobbies to find us. Crisis averted. We left on time. Trip was smooth and the driver was a safe driver. We arrived at the VTP (which is under construction and a bit of a mess) and got dropped off. A pleasant trip for us. I recommend using this vendor.
