The El Tatio tour itself was great and well organized. They picked us up directly from our hotel/Airbnb between 4:30–5:00 a.m., which was very convenient for such an early start. However, everyone was dropped off at one central location, which we were not informed about in advance.
The tour included several additional stops, not just the geysers, which made the experience even more enjoyable. It’s also worth noting that the actual tour operator is called Magic, not the booking agent you may reserve through.
After visiting the sites, they provided breakfast, which was a nice and interesting touch. Overall, despite the drop-off surprise, I would still recommend this tour for the experience and value.

You will see a lot in this 5 hour long tour. It was very educational for children in spite of the long (~90 min) and bumpy ride to get there. I would recommend a motion sickness pill for folks who need it. Breakfast was great, and overall scenery much reminiscent of Iceland. Perfect break from the desert. Felipe was a great guide. Company very cognisant of altitude sickness possibility. Thankfully did not impact us at all, however, it was nice to feel that they put safety above profit. We had rented a vehicle, and this is the only excursion where I'm glad that we did not drive.
