Unbelievable scenery and passionate and knowledgeable guides to match. Our tours were incredible, all ran smoothly and we feel incredibly lucky to have explored this part of the world.

Great half day tours to different sites. All communication is done via whatsapp before the tours begin. Guides pick you up at your hotel and then drop you off in the town centre

During the 3 days communication was excellent and the guides provided good information about what we were seeing. We particularly liked Rainbow Valley and the petroglyphs which are not usually part of the multi-day tours. I don’t know if Puka Rumi is always the provider but they were very good. I would recommend updating the description of the Laguna Cejar trip - you can no longer swim in the OJo de Salar. This was fine, the one swim in the salt lagoon was great, we were just a little confused when they told us to change out of bathing suits after our swim.

Well organised. Lolo, Brandon and Alonso were all great guides. Always respectful of the nature park. The activities itself, I thought Valley De La Luna was the standout.

Guiatours was one of the most frustrating travel experiences I’ve ever had. This company is not a true tour operator — it’s merely a travel agency that subcontracts all activities to other agencies.
Communication is only through WhatsApp, something never mentioned during the booking process. I am not an active WhatsApp user, and by sheer coincidence I noticed a message from Guiatours — which began with an insult for not responding sooner.
Guiatours then informed me that I would have to coordinate all three days of tours directly with the subcontractor agencies, joining multiple WhatsApp groups to manage logistics myself. They also revealed that many entrance fees were not included in the tour price and that I would need to bring Chilean pesos for each tour.
Pickups were from the hotel, but drop-offs were at the subcontractor’s office in the middle of San Pedro, not back at the hotel — again, something never disclosed upfront. I was left to arrange my own return transportation, at times late at night, and I feared for my safety since my hotel shuttle pickup point was located on a dark, deserted street corner several blocks away from the main town.
Many of the tours were fine but some of the tours themselves did not meet expectations, with some advertised stops (like the Magic Bus) simply skipped and a strenuous hike in the Valley of the Moon scheduled during the extreme heat of the afternoon sun, instead of in the early morning of the following day when no other activities were planned.
Overall, Guiatours made what should have been an enjoyable trip stressful and poorly organized. Unless you like spending your vacation managing logistics yourself, I strongly recommend avoiding Guiatours.

This review is false, you are a former employee who is sending me messages on WhatsApp. Why are you doing this and harming us? I have enough evidence to take legal action against you. Stop posting this type of comment; our work is excellent, which is why we have excellent reviews.

All of the experiences were awesome and the communication by the tour operators was brilliant telling you when they were picking you up and what to bring/expect. The breakfasts and sunset buffets were delicious and the guides all fantastic with great English.

There was good and bad. I had to change the dates of the trip and Viator was very unhelpful and said I had to contact the tour company directly because it was a confirmed booking but could not help in providing any contact number. Found the Guias Tours directly and they responded through WhatApp which was easy and allowed me to change dates. When we got to Atacama it rained which prevented some tours from happening but Guias was helpful and changed for other tours that could operate through the rain. Guias hires local guides and quality on different days was variable from average to excellent. Although communication with Guias head office was easy with Whatsapp, the staff communication style is very bad and borders on rude in many instances and often they just don't answer the questions asked.
