A nighttime tour to Playa Grande National Park from the Tamarindo area yields your best chance of seeing nesting sea turtles in the wild. Head out with a guide to comb the beach in search of turtles, keeping in mind that sightings cannot be guaranteed. Unlike other turtle-watching tours, this tour is conducted in small groups of 15 people or fewer so as to cause the least disturbance to the animals.
