We had a great time. There is a 1 mile hike to get to the launch point through the jungle on a wide and cleared trail. You will also walk through crystal clear water a couple of times. I recommend Tiva styled water sandals which are also very helpful in the short cavern hike in the middle of the trip. Those rocks can be sharp and slippery. Our guides were very informative and entertaining. The lunch was very good seasoned chicken with rice, beans and plantains. Keep in mind there could be people in the group that may be zip-lining after the tubing. If you did not sign up for that you will be waiting until they are done, which was an hour or less. There are a few shops and drink vendors available to pass the time. The travel time was an hour and a half each way. The small bus we rode in was modern, pretty comfortable and clean, with air conditioning. If you want to bring anything on the river you don’t want getting wet they recommend leaving it in the van, but I took a dry bag to keep valuables in which you can strap around you (also great for snorkeling at the reef!). Bring a waterproof case for your phone. The kind that hangs around your neck might be safest. You won’t regret this one! Cheers!

DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY. If I could give this a zero I would, for multiple reasons. They processed with full payment of our tour prior to when they said they would. I was also unable to cancel prior to 24 hours before without losing my 544.00 $. I was contacted by the tour operator to confirm the tour a few days prior. I then took the opportunity to ask a few questions about imperative details on the tour. No one responded to me despite my multiple efforts through email and viator. So I booked a tour with someone else thinking we would get our money back, because I didn’t even know where to meet due to us having our own car with unique circumstances. They called me two hours after the tour was supposed to start, I explained that I had been trying to get a hold of them and that I wanted my money back. They then hung up on me. I then asked for my money back from viator, and received 10%- 54.00 due to the tour guide lying to them about the circumstances. I have still not received my money back, and did not even get the chance to do the tour do to lack of communication from the tour guide. Not happy, I would not recommend them to ANYONE. Completely un- professional and bordering on a total scam.

Meh. I'd go with a smaller company or pick up a guide there yourself.

These experiences depend so much on your groups and your guides. If you're a small group looking for a small tour, go with someone else for sure. Everything was fine but by no means exceptional. PLUS if it is hot out, their vans are the worst for AC at the end of the day.

This was an amazing experience. The guide did a wonderful job of getting us to and from the site. He was timely, informative, and patient. The zip lining staff, did a wonderful job of explaining how the course work and would make any first timer comfortable.

We had an opportunity to have basically a 1:1 experience for my fiance and myself with our guide, Cisco. He was FANTASTIC! So knowledgeable, fun energy, and allowed us to do some extra exploring which was so cool. We ended up doing a longer hike to be able to float through 2 caves and then some climbing. Highly highly recommend this tour and ask for Cisco specifically! Lastly, the lunch was DELISH! (Also, I know there have been some reviews on time it took to get picked up, etc. That was not our experience. We agreed to 830am and he was there right on the dot! Now, go book this adventure.)

    Absolutely amazing experience!!!

We absolutely loved our cave tubing experience! Cisco was our guide, and he did a fabulous job! On the walk in to the entry point, he pointed out things of interest along the path. We did two caves, and Cisco kept pointing out different things of interest. Several times we got out of our tubes and went exploring caves inside of the cave. We swam though tunnels and around stalactites, and jumped off rocks into the water. We saw bats. We saw Mayan ruins, and were given a fascinating history lesson on the Maya. We saw groups from the cruise ships being rushed through the cave, not stopping at all. We were so glad we had Cisco as our guide! And he took such good care of our 9 year old, towing her along in her inner tube. We would highly recommend this tour!

Would give 10 stars if I could :)

One of the most amazing guided tours I’ve ever been on, our guide was literally the best, he went above and beyond to make sure that our group had the most amazing time, totally catered to all our needs - I’m beyond grateful and am looking forward to booking another tour with them in the near future. If you wanna see beautiful caves, flowed through crystal water while watching the jungle pass by, enjoy a yummy lunch and have the most attentive tour guides, then this tour is for you :)

    An amazing experience!

Cisco was our guide and he was amazing! As we did the 20 minute walk to the caves, he stopped to show us plants or animals and explain things. While tubing, we stopped to explore more of the cave and it was fascinating! He really took his time to show us everything! I would highly recommend this tour.

    Amazing Adventure in San Ignacio

Cave tubing with Francisco from Belize Caving Expeditions was by far the highlight of our trip to Belize! It was a great value for an all day adventure that included on time pickup from our hotel in San Ignacio and a Belizean lunch and rum punch afterward. Francisco was so knowledgeable about the history of the area and the different plants and animals. We learned a lot on our hike up, enjoyed a swim in a gorgeous spot, and then floated through three caves. We were able to get out and explore the third cave. It was really cool inside and we saw Mayan artifacts and did some more swimming. My boyfriend and I would highly recommend the cave tubing trip for anyone who loves adventure and nature! Kudos to Belize Caving Expeditions!

    Amazing
