Really great day out. Maru was an excellent guide, full of energy and very clear with her explanations. It was high season so a lot of tourists around but that’s to be expected.

Great sights . Way too long of a tour

Purmamarca was really cool to see, we got to stop and spend a couple hours there because of the road delay. The salt flats were good for pictures. The tour itself is a bit too long to do from salta city. We had issues because of rain (which is no one’s fault) but our pickup was 2 hours late we weren’t picked up until almost 9 (we were told 7-7:30) so we didn’t get home until 10pm and it advertised for to be back for 5. I wouldn’t do this unless you have nothing going on the next day. Also way payed more for an English guide because our Spanish is not very good and she only spoke in English once in a while, we didn’t get any information on how the salt flats formed or anything. If I could turn back time I would have just booked a Spanish guide with a local company for a fraction of the price. But the sights were cool !

The places we visited were spectacular - 8 colour mountains, salt plains and the vistas we stopped at! The coach did turn up very late but the helpline responded quickly to advise me it was on it’s way. Great tour guide and driver!

Pickup and tour type was changed without notice

Although we booked an all day tour, the operator called our hotel the morning of the pickup to tell them that we would be picked up at 3pm for only one portion of the all day tour. We never received an email or notification ourselves. Since we paid for an all day tour and only had one day in the area, we ended up not going on this excursion at all. Terrible communication and no contact from the operator since - yet to receive a refund nearly two weeks after the fact.

In your case, you were staying at La Comarca Hotel located in Purmamarca (2.50 hours distance from Salta) and we decided to make an exception and confirm this regular tour picking up you at the hotel when the group arrived in town and continue to Salinas Grandes. So basically it would never be possible to have a full day tour since you were staying in the middle location of the tour. So when it was explained to you on the phone, you decided to cancel the tour. We apologize if it wasn't clear enough. Si hubiéramos contratado solo el bus sin la guía sería casi lo mismo. La guia turistica fue muy escasa, y además el chofer parece que tenia a la vuelta otro trabajo, porque nos trajo en el aire. Realmente poco recomendable.
