While the guide was friendly, there was nothing else positive about this tour. We only realised that the tour was so bad as we did part of it on another 2 days later.
It had multiple issues which included:
1) Being 25 mins late to pick us up and we were the first ones
2) Circling the town trying to find other passengers for 35mins. We left Salta after 8am
3) The guide and driver were scruffy in appearance as was the vehicle which had stains and food crumbs on seats.
4) There was little relevant information at the start of the journey and the mic did not help. We did the same journey to Volcan and Purmamarca with another company (Tiamar EVT) where there was so much valuable information provided in a clear and engaging way.
5) We had unnecessarily long and pointless shopping, rest and refreshment stops.
6) We spent 13 hours driving to spend just over 2 hours sightseeing.
7) There were no stop offs at key viewpoints
8) We had to buy an extra tour of the 14 colour hills for 30.000 each or it would have just been a long uncomfortable bus ride to tourist-centred villages with little authentic culture or attraction.

Recently had a day tour into the mountains with Raul and thoroughly enjoyed it. We were sent a WhatsApp message the night before confirming our pick up time although would have been better to have a shorter pick up slot (40 minutes is a big pick up slot for a tour).
We were picked up in a minibus which was comfortable enough (luckily my husband sat in the seat near the door with lots of leg room). The bus had air conditioning which was a bonus.
We were the only English speakers on the tour but Raul tried really hard to keep us informed on what we were seeing on the tour. His English was good.
Regarding the itinerary, we were first to be picked up and spent the next hour picking everyone else up. It was probably about 3 hours before our first stop to use the bathroom, grab a coffee etc.
We really enjoyed the towns we visited but would have liked an extra 30 minutes in Purmamarca and less time in Humahuaca. The lunch place recommended by Raul wasn’t great and we felt expensive for the quality of food offered. Also they charged a 20% fee for paying by credit card. We wish we’d gone and found somewhere in the town as there were a few restaurants to choose from.
The scenery was absolutely stunning and the towns were all very quaint and whilst the trip was long (circa 13 hours), we felt it was worth it for the money paid.

Humahuaca, Purmamarca and Tilcara are all very beautiful towns and worth a visit. The landscape along the route was beautiful. Our guide Leo was friendly and funny. The tour was supposed to be an English tour but was mostly Spanish speakers, so about 80% of the communication was Spanish. The only real issue I had was the day was way too long. I was told 11 - 12 hours, but our tour from pick-up to drop-off was over 14 hours, with one meal. The primary reason was several members who consistently didn't move with the tour or come back on time and we all sat around and waited for them for hours. If the tour was a little shorter 10 - 11 hours, it would have been 5 stars.

Gorgeous scenery, and our guide Leo was lots of fun. So the trip was fine. But the company missed an opportunity to have a guide that can discuss the history of the area. There was so much time on the bus and it could have been used to give us more information about where we were and what we were seeing. My guide on a different trip was full of fantastic info and we learned so much. The lunch spot was terrible: I recommend going off on your own to a nearby place.

La expectativa por visitar esos lugares maravillosos se vio opacada porque, más allá de la buena voluntad y profesionalidad del guía y el chofer de la Agencia La Quebrada EVT, no pudieron cumplir con todos los propuestos (Pucará de Tilcara y pueblos intermedios), debido a problemas con los vehículos. Demoramos la salida por las condiciones del transfer de recogida y luego el segundo vehículo tampoco estaba en óptimas condiciones, además de la falta de higiene.

La excursión con La Quebrada Turismo es altamente recomendable, guías y chóferes muy profesionales.
Nuestra disconformidad es con Viator porque en ningún momento ni en la.pagina ni en los mails de reserva estaba especificado que los pagos eran susceptibles de tener que pagar el impuesto país y la percepción ( que encareció el precio un 60%) . Fue facturado en pesos , y se nos debería haber dado la.opcion de elegir la.facturacion en dólares y así evitar ese recargo. Entiendo que la publicidad es engañosa porque no todos estamos al tanto que es un operador fuera de Argentina. Debería aclararse en la página.
