Itinerary

Begin your day trip to Cafayate with hotel pickup in the early morning. In a comfortable tour vehicle, travel through the Lerma Valley, listening as your guide points out the various historical towns as you drive.

Make a stop at Quebrada de las Conchas to admire the unusual rock formations that natural erosion has carved out over thousands of years. Take photos of formations known as the Castles, the Toad, Devil's Throat, and the Amphitheater.

Arrive in Cafayate, surrounded by mountain views and rolling hills planted with wine vineyards. Stop by one of the renowned local wineries for a tour and tasting of torrontes, a famous Argentine white wine.

Make the trip back to Salta for evening drop-off at your hotel.

Very bendy and bumpy road 520 Km covered same route there and back Good sites, vineyard visit short and wine tasted not great Not that much really to see in Cafayate All in all not that memorable ...

Dear Mark Leverton, We regret that the tour did not meet your expectations. It is important to emphasize that Cafayate is about 3 hours driving from Salta. The road has some curves precisely because it fits into the landscape of the place. It is indeed a remote place that knows about magical landscapes and traditional cultures. It was a nice tour with a nice landscape and a good guide. The tour is really relaxed and the wine tasted good : only negativ point is that we could have had the same tour for 10 each less if we just booked it in our hostel in Salta.

Fue una muy agradable experiencia. Tanto el chofer como la guía fueron súper amables. Hubo una pausa de dos horas para almorzar en el pueblo. También hicimos paradas técnicas y visitamos paisajes súper bonitos. Hubo varias paradas para realizar fotografías. Tanto el chofer como la guía se ofrecieron a tomarme fotos.

Las visitas a las bodegas son muy interesantes, pero el recorrido a través de la Quebrada de las conchas es impresionante, la belleza del paisaje es abrumadora. Miguel, nuestro chofer y guía nos dio mucha información, dio muy buenos consejos, hizo muchas paradas para apreciar los paisajes, y su trato es muy ameno y cordial, con un muy buen sentido del humor.
