Pete is an interesting and informative local who loves his hometown. The tour was 2.5 hours, which seemed. a bit long.

Pete is so kind, funny, and knowledgeable! You can tell he really takes pride in his tours. He gives a ton of historical knowledge of the area. If you are a history buff, you will love this tour. The walking is very easy. If you want a light walk around the local area and a knowledge of history, this is the tour you want.

St. John isn’t filled with iconic sights, but rather lots of small and charming and fascinating ones that Pete brings to absolutely vivid life. He’s a FANTASTIC guide - warm, hilarious, and a truly great storyteller. I highly recommend this tour. What a delight.

This is an easy walking tour but it doesn’t cover much of the city. Lots of time standing in multiple locations with narrative. Would have liked to had time in the market to look at items for sale. The tour ended near the ship and we did not have time to return to the market. The tour could maybe be shorter with less time spent on a few items. (Marco Polo ship, the theater restoration, or Pete’s old bar). Pete is knowledgeable and has a good sense of humor.

My tour covers as much of uptown Saint John as possible. There is a lot of speaking, as I try to include important information. The mentioned segments of my tour are often the most popular. This was a wonderful way to spend some time in St. John. We got a good overview of the town, and we able to do some exploring on our own afterward. Pete was extremely accommodating to help us when one of the members of our group had some unexpected mobility issues...we didn't miss any of the tour, nor did we hold up the group. Well worth the time and effort.

Book this tour! Excellent walking tour! Pete is a local who used to own a pub. He greeted many other locals by name while we were walking around town. Very personable! There were 9 of us in the group and it was very easy to hear and understand Pete. Highly recommend!

Pete is knowledgeable about both Saint John history and current events. He is very outgoing, funny, and can answer questions well. He speaks so the whole group can hear. Just the right amount of content. The tour is very reasonably priced for what you get. Pete knows EVERYONE.

Excellent tour with a delightful guide! Pete made the tour interesting with his insightful commentary and obvious love for the area. He had personal stories from his experiences living in the area and owning a bar. He kept us all interested on this fun tour!

Pete’s tour is fantastic! He is a wealth of knowledge and is able to present it in the most entertaining way! He is always open to questions and will go above and beyond to get the answer if per chance he doesn’t know it. (But he usually does know!)

Small tour size combined with him projecting his voice well makes it very easy to hear him. The tour is well paced, with frequent stops where he would tell us about the history of the place we were in front of. Utilizing the walkway system from one area to another made what could have been a grueling hill climb into an easy walk. Escalators and an elevator does all the hard work. We skipped the last point of interest to eat at a pub. We mentioned our tour with Pete and the waitress said "fish and chips, right?" Everybody seems to know him.
The tour was informative, giving insight about the beginnings of St John, how it impacted its history, and the development of the water fronts future.
Unlike many tours, I thought the cost was very reasonable. I highly recommend this tour.
