Nice cruise on the river. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the city and windmills. She knew a lot of history about the city and windmills. We had a wonderful time and would recommend to everyone!

Our tour guide-Izzy was superb. He showed us many attractions in center city-Rotterdam. He has extensive knowledge of the city’s history. He deftly navigated us through the crowded city while the Somer Carnival was in full swing. Riding the waterbus to Kinderdjik was pleasant. Visiting the iconic windmills created a long lasting memory. All in all, it was an exciting experience. Izzy needs to be specially recognized! 😊👍

It was a walking tour which I didn't realize. It was a great tour but all walking at least 6 miles total. Not strenuous but must be able to walk at good pace. Great snacks,water ,lunch and boat ride. Saad was wonderful!

It was an amazing tour, Izzy our tour guide was very knowledgeable, fun and polite. Since it was a private tour there was some wiggleroom for personal request like coffee stops. The tour is comprehensive it shows you all the very best of the area. It helps you feel safe and you learn about how to move around rotterdamn for the days after! Bring comfortable walking shoes! Our guide, Julia, was fabulous. She was a pleasure to spend the day with. The city tour was comprehensive and Julia is very knowledgeable. I had a list of places that we wanted to visit and she covered them all plus a few that I was not aware of. Sights, snacks and lunch were included. Then the Water Bus to Kinderdijk - a relaxing 40 minute ride after much walking in the city. Loved seeing the Windmills and Julia guided us through the area.

The description of the tour didn't note that it is mostly a walking tour. As older adults, this was a challenge for us.
To her credit, the guide accommodated us by converting to an auto tour for much of the day.
She even used her own car to drive us.
Her knowledge of the area is superb.

This tour will not disappoint!!! It is an extraordinary experience filled with so many fun activities. We walked, traveled by train and boat to see this amazing city. We highly recommend the guide Julia! Talk about feeling well taken care of - she showed up prepared for anything with water, umbrellas, etc. She has a “magic” bag she carries that just happens to have anything you could possibly need in it. She expertly navigated all the sites to see and just made this one of the best tours we have ever taken. DO THIS TOUR!! And request Julia - you won’t be disappointed!

Jareau sent us a text the day before confirming the pickup time and the specific location (entrance to hotel across street from cruise terminal - excellent because limited people at location made it easier to find each other than at the cruise terminal door). Jareau's time management skills were amazing. We walk a bit slower than many people do due to a work injury. He took us on a short walk to show us the waterfront, but I think a major part of that was to judge our walking speed. He had bought transit passes for us ahead of time. We then walked to the water taxi to Kinderdijk. (We had identified the windmills as the top site to see first) Jareau got us to the water taxi about 5 minutes early. He suggested what side of the taxi had the better views. Then he sat across the taxi to give us (and him) some alone time. He bought the tickets to the windmills and walked us to the entry way. He arranged for a docent to give us a personal tour of the museum area. He did not enter the actual windmill site, but the docents were good. Walked us back to the water taxi - we were the last 3 people to board -- very effective use of our time. Jareau continued the walking tour of Rotterdam, using the tram / subway passes to move us longer distances. He bought us sandwiches and water for lunch that we ate sitting on the wall outside St. Lawrence's church. When we were finished lunch, he walked us inside to hear a little concert being given on the pipe organ. Again - excellent time management -- the timing of the lunch meshed with the pipe organ concert start. Some more walking, We were pretty tired so he bought us a snack to perk us up. Then on to the cube houses. We went into the one made into an art museum of sorts. There we got a small print - the one item that we told him we would be interested in buying. We didn't get to see The Night Watch painting in person, but that was okay. We were ready to return to the ship after having walked about 20 thousand steps. Unbelievably excellent time management and very friendly.

Julia was a fantastic guide. She took us to many of the highlights of Rotterdam and told us the history behind them. Julia explained how the city was almost totally destroyed in WWII but a few building survived. It was a day of trying many of the different foods and sweets that the Netherlands has to offer. Julia also told of how life in the Netherlands is on a daily basis. Julia has a wonderful personality and made it a fun day to tour Rotterdam and the Kinderdijk.

We had an amazing day with our private guide Julia. She was so energetic and fun and was very in tune to what we wanted to see and do, and planned the day according to our interests. We took several breaks to relax and visit, which was necessary with all the walking we did. She also made sure that we tried all the local foods. Just such a perfect day. Highly recommend this tour and highly recommend Julia as your guide.

Our private tour gave us a good introduction to the city. Our guide Kagan was enthusiastic and knowledgeable. The tour involved a good deal of walking. For the most part there were sufficient stops to keep from getting tired, but we would have preferred taking a tram or metro rather than the last long walk from the cube house to the water bus. The boat ride to the Kinderdjik site was relaxing. The site itself was wonderful, seeing all of the old windmills and learning about their construction and functionality. The included lunch at the Markthal was nice.

Sebastian was a great guide. He took us through the entire city of Rotterdam. We were able to experience different forms of transportation from the metro, bus, water bus and water taxi. The visit to the windmills in Kinderdijk was very interesting. Sebastian taught us a lot about the various places we visited.

Our tour guide, Julia, did a wonderful job of showing us all around Rotterdam. It was really fun having a guide dedicated to the two of us (me and my wife). We put on a few miles walking around the city, but found it very fascinating and informative. The tour of the windmills was quite exceptional as well. Julia did an excellent job explaining the history, especially the involvement of WWII. We enjoyed the different foods along the way. Julia made sure we tried several different foods unique to the area. It was great fun, informative and a day well spent with Julia!

Our tour guide Elmar was communicate before the tour, making sure we knew where to meet him. He accommodated the meeting place to our request. He was on time and asked us the most important sights we wanted to include. He scheduled the sights so that we could see all the ones were important for us. First time visiting Rotterdam and we would definitely come back after this tour. We got to see a lot but there is so much more to see. This was a fabulous tour guided by Abdul. Many great stops along the way, very well paced. Interesting stops for lunch, desserts and coffee. Our guide made pictures along the way so we could all be in them and paying attention to the areas we were touring. He sent a link to all the pictures so we can download them to our personal files. We were a group of 5 somewhat older people. We did walk about 6+ miles but it was over easy terrain. We used a water taxi and public transportation (subway) to give us a real feel for the city. I would highly recommend this tour. Abdul was so informative and patient. His timing was impeccable.

Great experience: our guide TG Abdullah was very outgoing, friendly, and knowledgeable. We departed from our hotel and walked all over Rotterdam taking tons of pictures. Then we boarded the water taxi and waterbus for Kinderdijk. Didn't have to worry about food or tickets anywhere. Easy and fun experience. In addition to that, our guide took amazing photos of us.
While you could repeat this experience on your own, it was worth the money to not have to figure out how to get anywhere and not spend any time in line for tickets. And the company was great! :)

The most memorable stages of our tour were the visits to the church at Rotterdam and to Kinderdijk. Firstly the magnificent church which survived the bombing in WW2 and then the splendour of the UNESCO site at Kinderdijk. We were in the very safe and knowledgeable hands of our young guide Abdallah throughout our tour👍
