    Definitely worth seeing. Our guide was friendly and helpful. Loved learning about the history. Would like to see again in spring when the garden is in bloom.

    We took the 7.5-hour tour "Rundale Palace and Bauska Castle" from Riga and were thoroughly impressed. The three of us set off comfortably and relaxed in a well-maintained car with our very nice guide. The drive to Bauska took about an hour and was already a highlight thanks to informative conversations and a bottle of water for each of us. On-site, we had plenty of time (about 1.5 hours). The combination of ruins and rebuilt castle was fascinating. Particularly impressive was the personal tour through the ruins and the climb up the tower – a real wow experience! Afterward, we could explore the castle museum with its beautifully restored living quarters at our own pace. Just ten minutes later, we reached the magnificent Rundāle Palace. After a brief introduction, we used the audio guide to explore the opulent rooms and the beautiful garden. Here too, we had more than enough time. Those who wanted could have a very good lunch at the nearby family-run restaurant. The return trip to Riga was just as pleasant – clean car, friendly guide, and many engaging conversations.
