Amazing trip from start to finish. Our guide/driver Andis touched base with us the day before, confirming pick up. He turned up bang on time and ensured we were comfortable before setting off on an amazing day.
Throughout the day Andis took account of my sister's mobility issues, parking as close as possible for drop offs and coming back to collect us. Clear instructions throughout, but no pressure. For lunch Andis suggested a fantastic restaurant which coul not be faulted.
A knowledgeable and helpful guide, would happily use his services again in future.

Family trip, first time in Riga.
The tour was very well organized. We were picked up right on time and started our way to Cēsis. There was a bottle of water for each of us in the van. The van and the tour guide (Mr Ivars) was very nice and explained everything in english. We did the first half of the tour, then had lunch in Sigulda and continue to the 2 final castles (Sigulda and Turaida).
Mr Ivars was very patient, we had a person with reduced mobility and took a bit longer to walk the castles but he waited for us with a great attitude, despite being behind schedule.
Our trip included 2 kids (10 and 11) and they also enjoyed history and the sight from the castle and their towers.
Definitely recommended when visiting Riga for the first time.

Fantastic driver - had a lovely day trip despite being able to visit Cesis castle as it is closed on Mondays. Our driver was exceptionally helpful in organising alternative options for our day instead .

Aldis was a fabulous guide and driver. He did everything to accommodate our needs and, when pressed, made suggestions for additional things to do. He took the position that it was our time and that he was completely at our service. He was knowledgeable about the country, the castles, the culture, and Mother Nature provided us with a beautiful sunny day to see the gorgeous scenery. We felt like we gained a great deal of knowledge about Latvia and made a friend in the process.

Our driver was a nice man but with no knowledge about the tour or about the places that we visited.Firstly it was mentioned to him as 2 passengers when it was 3 passengers. The entire tour was with no commentary from the driver. He did not explain about the places, history nothing at all. I felt like I went with a taxi driver and back. He would drop us at the parking and asked us to go around ourself without explaining anything about the place or history.Cesis was closed for a visit, we just went around the castle in the snow and that’s it. I strongly advice you not to book from this operator.
I am coming from India and I can be travelling to this place everyday so I am more than disappointed to have booked this tour in Viator.

As described in this day trip details, this is not a tour with a licensed guide, but with an English speaking driver. Our driver did his best to accommodate all your requests, made additional stops and driving that you had requested. And you used driver for 1,5 hours longer than originally planned 8 hours and also left car full of garbage. If you had not wanted all additional stops in Sigulda, you would made it on time before Cesis Castle closes.

For a single person, this is an expensive option to see these sites. I would have preferred to have a small group option to see these castles. But, frankly I searched for a few hours on the internet and couldn't find a company that offered a mini bus for about 20 people to see the sites together. I had no problem finding a small group tour for sites in Lithuania. Also, the site clearly states that Wi Fi is available and the driver told me it was not. The driver drove safely.

Regards the pricing, it is on the lower end of prices in Europe for Private chauffeur service for the full day. So definitely it is not expensive and for the same price you can travel as much as 7 people.

Great trip to see some more Latvia outside of Riga. Skillful, friendly and most expert driver was right on time picking us up from our hotel. Then we drove up to Cesis to see old town, castle and local museum of partisan history. On our way back we visited Sigulda and Turaida castle. Driver was keeping us updated with local history and other possible entertainments in locations. He helped us to get tickets and helped to order food if someone did not speak Englis or Latvia. We get good recommendations for restaurants and sightseeing in Riga too. Very recommendable!

No era el ideal del viaje que quería comprar ,pero como se nos anuló el que teníamos comprado desde hacía meses tuve que contratar uno en el último momento...y resultó muy divertido . ¿Tuvimos hasta una nevada! Y castillos con nevada es diversión asegurada.
Martins también eetuvo muy acertado. A pesar de no ser un guía acreditado nos dio toda la información que poseía . Hizo ameno el viaje.
He dico que no era mi ideal de viaje, y esto es porque en este viaje lo que tú contratas es un coche que te lleva a todos lados, pero en nuestro caso Martins aportó sus conocimientos y se interesó porque estuviéramos a gusto en todo momento, incluso nos enseñó cosas que no estaban incluidas.
