Bookings the trip was easy and straight forward with good communication from Viator regarding pick up times/ confirmation etc. The coach arrived on time and the driver was kind and courteous. We got to see much of the Eastern/ top of the Western coast line while collecting passengers from various locations. The tour itself was fantastically informative. I'm someone who will see as much as I can on my own, but the information that was shared really made each location come to life, which I would not have been privy to had I have gone to these places without a guide. Each stop was breathtaking and a must see for tourists coming to the island and wanting to see the history. You can not truly grasp the magnitude of each location until you go. For example, Filerimos does not advertise the amazing buildings/ churches/ temples that are also there or that it has many peacocks freely wondering around. It really was spectacular. One last positive, you are given a 'whispers' device to use in each location which is a headphone set so you can hear the tour guide. I would recommend bringing your own earphones with you if possible as the ones provided are not as good as the ones you probably have. We not only saw Filerimos, Butterfly Valley, Kameiros and had some wine tasting, but we also went to a lovely little village for lunch (which was delicious and great value for money as there were 5 courses along with wine and water included for 14 Euros). We were also shown a lovely little church in the middle of the forest with a fresh water spring where you can refill your bottles. I certainly felt I got my money's worth and saw so much more than I was expecting on the day. Thank you so much Viator, the coach driver and travel guide. We had an amazing time and will be recommending this tour to friends and family visiting Rhodes 😁

Amazing day out

What a wonder trip! Athena our guide was very knowledgeable and we learned so much. She also helped up enter the attractions with the disability discount. We are bothe ancient history/ archaeology students so seeing the ancient city was a real highlight. The lunch spot was also great 14 euro for several courses, there was also no pressure to eat at this place but I would recommend it.

Tour did not happen, cancelled without any notice, and it was me chasing them to see why there was a no show on their part. And for weeks later I am still chasing my refund. It is also worth noting that they rearranged another trip, giving less than 24 hours notice, email did not arrive in time, so we had no knowledge of change, resulting in us missing that trip. If they expect 24 hours notice if we change our arrangements, why do they not have the same policy when it comes to us? Rude and ignorant on their part.

By the time you called us it was already too late. Unfortunately, the end of October is always a difficult time to gather the necessary number of customers to make the trip happen. Unfortunately, your booking was made on one of these days. Everything done is in accordance with the terms of cooperation with Viator, as if the necessary people for the excursion are not gathered, we have the right to cancel and reschedule. You should have cared to check your emails to avoid the hassle. Of course, your money was returned within the specified time. This tour was a nice opportunity to get out of Rhodes town and see a bit more of the island. The Valley of the Butterflies was definitely a highlight, and it would have been nice to have more time there and leaving out another stop (e.g. the monastery). Maria, our guide, was nice and knowledgeable. It’s important to know that the roads are very windy and twisty and people who suffer from travel sickness should take precautions.

Out of the 3 excursions probably the most interesting was Kamiros (and even that it pales in comparison to Acropolis of Lindos). The butterfly valley doesn't have much to see since the fire of 2021 & the colony has migrated away + the first stop, the monastery was just meh. Had higher expectations of the day + the wine tasting/lunch in the town was just dreadful. Worth it for $37 USD? Nah. Do something else like either explore the many beaches (Kalithea/Falraki) via public bus instead.

A highlight of our holiday

This Island Tour with Sigma Travel was one of the highlights of our holiday. The 5 varied attractions we visited were all interesting, and brought to life by our very knowledgeable guide Athena. Comfortable air conditioned coach was well driven by Irene on beautiful scenic coastal and forested mountain roads with stunning views. Time spent at each attraction was just right for each experience, and made it a very interesting and enjoyable day.

The experiences of this varied excursions were managed and enhanced by an excellent tour guide - Maria. I enjoyed her storied from Greek mythology. Didn't give five stars as possibly a bit late to include the butterfly visit as very few to be seen. Thanks for a thoroughly relaxed and enjoyable day. Really appreciated the phone call to say bus would be ten minutes late. Superb service.

We loved the fact that you go to many different places but are not rushed. Our guide Maria was very knowledgeable and spoke excellent English. We also enjoyed the lunch stop which cost us 14€ each and included wine and water. I particularly enjoyed seeing Kamiros the ancient city.

This tour gets you to most places inside Rhodes that are worth a visit. The tour starts with a bang at Filerimos; don't miss the chance to go into the archaeological site! Then Kameiros is also stunning and definitely worth a visit. The valley of Petaloudes is also worth seeing and a nice small walk in the forest, very lovely! The wine tasting and old house after Embonas are very interesting. However, the restaurant at Embonas was average and full of tourist groups so I felt a bit cheated there; Embonas could be omitted completely. I am sure there are other villages on the mountains with much better food. We were very lucky to have such a knowledgeable and nice tour guide!

Our guide, Nick, was a mine of information about all the sites we visited. For me the highlight was Kamiros, the lost Dorian city which only began to be excavated in the 19th Century. Filerimos, which combined ancient and more modern history was also fascinating. The optional lunch turned out to be good value, with three courses including a choice of main dishes. Nick was very responsive to questions and looked after our small group very well. I think the message about wearing masks could have been repeated even more as several of the group ignored them, so imperiling their fellow passengers.

Wonderful Tour Group & Experience!

First, the coach driver Yanni & the guide, Anna Maria were very friendly & engaging! Oftentimes you receive minimum engagement-but not with this tour! Super friendly which makes for a better experience. Everything was on time too by the way :) We explored many parts of the island that you wouldn’t normally see if you just stayed at the coast. Filermos & the peacocks were a treat as well as the wine tasting. Make certain you grab lunch with the group in Embona. Super fast service & quite the pleasurable meal for only $13Euros! The butterflies were gone by October in Petaloudes but it was a very nice stop nonetheless. My favorite stop was Ancient Kamiros where you can walk all along the ruins in the Greek Pompeii! Thank you so much for a Wonderful Tour of the Island!
