Our guide was great - without him I wouldn’t have spotted any of the animals! He used the scope so we could zoom is and let everyone take pictures through the scope to get some amazing close up shots.
You can then stay in the park after the tour to spend time hiking or at the beaches.
The park is busy - there’s no avoiding that. it’s the main attraction in the area but it’s worth it and the money generated is used in a positive way.

Our guide, Gustavo was a good spotting animals and had a good telescope to see the animals very well. He allowed everybody to have time to take a good look at animals and take photos with own phones. You basically have to join a tour to fully enjoy animals in Manuel Antonio. It's very hard to spot with untrained eyes and without a good telescope. The entry tickets to the park online were sold out. It seems only tour agencies have entry tickets unless you booked in a well advance. I usually prefer not to join a tour but I am glad we did. We learned a lot and spotted a couple of sloths, monkeys, birds, iguanas, lizards, etc. Enjoyed the tour very much.

This tour is absolutely wonderful, and I would do it again in a heartbeat. We saw SO much more than if we’d gone by ourselves. Diego is an amazing guide - super knowledgeable from the animals to the plants and insects, he got us great pictures. We learned so much. Cannot recommend enough!!! Thank you Diego!!!

Diego, our tour guide, was awesome!!! He was super knowledgeable, friendly, and showed us a ton of animals that we would have never been able to see ourselves. This tour was the highlight of our costa rica trip and it was all due to Diego. We learned a ton about Costa Rica, the animals, and many more things. We saw several sloths, monkeys, birds, iguanas, and more. He also has a device that lets u capture great iphone videos of the animals through the telescope. Thank you so much for the wonderful experience Diego!
