We booked this private boat trip in Phuket many months in advance after reading so many outstanding reviews—and it absolutely lived up to the hype. As our travel date approached, the team stayed in close contact to customize the day exactly to our preferences. They were incredibly responsive and flexible, arranging an earlier departure time and even stocked the boat with beverages we had selected in advance. That level of attention to detail made everything feel effortless from the start. Pickup from our hotel to the marina was seamless, and upon arrival we were warmly greeted by our captain, “Sexy Billy,” who set the tone for an unforgettable day. From the moment we left the dock, the experience was smooth, fun, and completely tailored to us. We had an incredible time exploring Maya Beach and the Phi Phi islands, with plenty of laughs along the way. One of the true highlights was our unique seafood lunch at the amazing Khru Vit floating raft—an authentic and memorable experience that made the day even more special. If you’re looking for a relaxing, customized private boat experience in Phuket with a professional, attentive, and genuinely fun crew, I cannot recommend this team highly enough. Thank you, Sexy Billy and team—we had an absolute blast!

Eight hours on the water, great experience! Captain Shaun &co took us to beautiful not-crowded islands with clear turquiose water, white sand, and some nice coral reefs with good snorkeling. We were given some recommendations regarding the schedule, but we could decide by ourselves where to go and when. That worked fantastically! Thank you guys, see you next time when in Phuket.

Brilliant day on the water with Kee and the crew. Everyone was so friendly and accommodating. Great communication with the team from booking to departure. Just as we had requested - a fantastic day snorkelling and swimming at stunning islands away from the crowds. Definitely worth paying extra for the private experience. One of our best days in Phuket - the tour exceeded all our expectations. Highly recommend.

I cannot recommend this excursion enough! Jimmy and crew at 5 Star Marine went above and beyond to make this the highlight of our trip to Thailand. Before we ever arrived, the 5 Star Marine team was in constant contact with us to help craft our itinerary for the day. We had requested a number of varied and distant locations - the team ensured we saw them all and then some. They also made sure that we were cared for every step of the way. This was an amazing day out with our awesome guide Jimmy. From pick up to drop off everything was seamless and Professional. We could customize our tour, go were we wanted, spend as much time as we wanted too and avoided the overcrowded boats and long bus trips. We had the entire boat to the 5 of us and our kids - over 20 had and absolute blast . Perfect Day Trip

My friends and I were looking for a day trip to the Phi Phi Islands that would not be overly touristy, yet allow us to see all the main sites, snorkel and relax - 5 Star Marine delivered on this! Shaun's quick communication made planning the trip a breeze and I cannot say enough good things about Tony and the crew - they took as to all the spots before they were busy, Tony had great knowledge of the island and even better recommendations both around Phi Phi and Surin Beach. The day was so special for my friends and I would 100% recommend for any group.

When our ship sank, 5 Star Marine Rescued Us...

When we arrived in Phuket, we had paid for a "private" boat tour. Our taxi picked us up and drove us to the dock- in about 10 minutes we came to the realization that our "private tour" was going to include about 50 other people, not the "maximum 12" we had paid for. We refused to get on that boat and were able to get a refund! WHAT?!! The challenge then became that our time was short on the island and we really wanted to get some time on a boat. When we finally got back to wifi, we started looking for private tours and ended up finding this tour right here. I booked- hesitantly, if I'm being honest. Within 5 minutes, Shaun, the owner reached out and asked us where we wanted to go (another neat perk of this trip is you get to pick the itinerary, if you don't know, the crew has insights!) After some back and forth with Shaun, we put our plan together. We let him know what our original plans had been that didn't quite pan out- and he tailor created our day based on what we wanted to do. It was pretty neat, actually. We were picked up on time the next morning. The evening prior, after we booked, we were robbed. Yes, you read that right- robbed! When we told Shaun he immediately jumped into action to make sure a local was helping us. He was so concerned with our failed boat trip and now robbing that we was determined to make sure our day was AWESOME! When we got to the dock, we met Tony. Tony is from Scotland and runs a pretty great crew! He had been told by Shaun what had happened-everyone was so concerned, it was really nice. We got onto a gorgeous speed boat that was stocked with water, pineapple, soda. We met the whole crew and we were off. I really liked how on the the crew, our "tour guide", was a student studying tourism. He had learned English and working on this boat was part of his internship to graduate. The trip was the highlight of our ENTIRE trip to Thailand. We snorkeled, we canoed, we swam, we ate in floating cities, we went to James Bond Island, saw amazing landscapes and watched the sunset from our boat in the middle of the bay. The boat was clean, the bathroom worked. Seriously, we would book this trip again in a heartbeat. Shaun and Tony seriously saved our trip! Thank You!!!

An Unforgettable Day in Phi Phi Islands

One of the best days of our week long trip in Phuket was hands down this private charter with Five Star Marina to the Phi Phi Islands. From the second we arrived, our crew took incredible care of us and ensured we got to experience exactly what we were looking to. Our guide was incredibly knowledgable, and gave us an unforgettable day. From snorkling, to swimming, shopping, seeing monkeys, and then ending the day watching sunset from a completely abandoned private beach - this is something that MUST be on your list in Phuket.

This was the best day we’ve had in Phuket, my friends and I stayed for 7 days and this day trip made our holiday. Before this day trip we spent a day with a group tour of 30 people, this private boat tour is so worth every single penny. Shaun was so welcoming and planned our day according to our preferences. He messaged us the day before to prepare, his crew was so professional and gave us heads up if the water was rough. They prepared fresh fruits and water and soda for us throughout the day. We could not have asked for a better trip! Thank you 5 star marine!! Highly recommend others to book this!!
