Raul and his horses are the best! He's such a patient teacher, his 'garden' is absolutely beautiful and the two horses we rode Laredo and Universe are super calm and well trained. It made for a wonderful experience.
The picnic towards the end of the ride is really well put together and the setting where you eat it, taking in the view is special.
I really cannot recommend Raul highly enough! ❤️

This was one of the best days of our vacation! Everything went really well, the communication via Viator/ WhatsApp, the pick-up (outside the old town of Paraty as there are no cars allowed), the drive to Rauls farm (approx. 40 mins through beautiful nature with a really friendly driver whose name we forgot, unfortunately!) and of course, especially the horse riding itself. I have been horse riding for more than 20 years while my boyfriend is a beginner. We searched a lot because I care about horses and wanted an experience where the animals are treated well. Here, we found it! Raul's family lives in the area since 4 generations and he handles his animal with love and respect - they are like family to him. Also, he did a great job in helping my boyfriend on the horse and with handling his horse. We spent enough time to get familiar with the animals, then also went a bit faster. Raul showed us many native plants and explained a lot about the area, nature and horses while we we riding across the hills. It was such a pleasure to spend the time on his farm! The picknick was very nice, too, with great food and a view that leaves you speechless. Our favorite moment was going bare back on the horses after the trip. I can only recommend this to anyone who genuinely is interested in animals and nature. We would come back any time. Muito obrigada Raul, foi um prazer!

We had an amazing time with Raul. This is really an intimate countryside farm experience where you explore his beautiful farm in the mountains. He was very attentive in his instructions along with giving us good info on the farm’s history and the area. Highly recommend!

A fantastic day with Raul and his horses. Kind, safe horses and Raul was a calm, skilled and knowledgeable teacher who speaks good English. Our children aged 10 and 12 felt very safe. Lovely area and nature. The trip ends with a very good picnic. Can really be recommended!

My husband and I can’t rate this experience highly enough. Raul was a wonderfully patient tutor. He clearly loves and takes great care of his horses. The provided picnic was excellent and we were provided with bags to take anything uneaten home. The location has been beautifully maintained.

A wonderful experience! Raul has a great love for his horses evident in their gentle nature. As a first time horse rider Raul was very patient, ensuring I was comfortable and consistently keeping a watchful eye to make sure all was well. The picnic was a lovely touch too. Raul had great English.

My sister and I had took the horse riding tour in January of this year and it was an amazing experience. Raul has a really deep love for his horses and nature. I really enjoyed his explanation of how he trains his horses. It felt like he works with them in such a humane and understanding way. But he is also great with people. I am a complete novice at riding but he is was very patient with me. I highly recommend this tour.
