Very easy transfer from Paraty to Ilha Grande. Boat tour included. We were picked up from the tour office as our accommodation was in the old city where the roads are not good. Someone met us in Angra dos Reis with our tickets and helped us get the boat tour included ilha grande.

Driver was on time and picked me up on foot from Hotel Sandi, as there is no direct vehicle access. Just one other pick up then direct to Angra Dos Reis where we were met by a representative who issued tickets and informed we had approx. 1 hour wait until the boat transfer. There are seats undercover to stay out of the sun / rain. They saw us onto the boat. Boat was fast and also undercover (top and sides) though best not to sit at the front if you don't want to be hit by sea spray- maybe it was worse as it was raining too. Easy!

Door to door is more like 3 hours - bus transfer is smooth but jumping on the boat with luggage we got absolutely drenched as the boat isn't properly sheltered from the rain and waves.

Apparently the 0830 departure does do pick up

We were told the 0830 departure did not have hotel pick up, yet we drove around Paraty for 40 minutes picking up every other passenger, despite having been at the pick up at point at 0830 ourselves. Find an operator that’ll stick to their word.

We paid extra to get picked up from our accommodation but the tour operator was so badly organised (constantly asking where our address was) that we gave up and just dragged our luggage to their office to ensure we got on the bus. They delayed the departure by one hour and spent extra time trying to find the other passengers before finally departing. We were so late we missed our connecting boat. Another delay til we finally got to Ilha Grande. We were so stressed and exhausted by the time we arrived. Not a good experience.

However, it is necessary to clarify some points that you mention: it did not take us long to find your address, what happened is that you did not have WhatsApp and you were not clear in informing your location since you were in a private home and not in a hotel like It is set on the platform it should be. Furthermore, it was in the heart of the historic center of Paraty, and if you have studied the destination before arriving you should know that the tide rises and the historic center is isolated with its small stone streets completely flooded and that prevents vehicle access to the place. The pick-up is only made in recognized hotels and inns and when there is high tide we cannot enter the historic center, and one of the requirements that we strongly request is that the client provide a WhatsApp to speed up communication, but you did not do it. It is also important to clarify that you never lost your boat, since you boarded the next boat that left immediately after the first, meaning that you arrived at Isla Grande in a timely manner. Disorganised and expensive

I would not use this service again nor recommend it. It was more expensive than other options and very poorly coordinated which resulted in all three of our parties being collected late, waiting longer than necessary for the mini bus and missing the ferry transfer that was included. We booked the shuttle from Paraty to Ilha Grande to leave at 12:30 pm weeks in advance and provided our pick up addresses by email as requested. We were subsequently asked to provide our addresses three more times via different means including two different WhatsApp numbers. It seemed as if several different people were contacting us, and the system was not being updated. There was so much confusion and time wasted that two of us went into the office a day ahead to ensure they had the correct addresses, and they had some difficulty even finding our bookings in the system. One of our parties decided to walk to the agency with their luggage rather than risk not being collected but no discount was offered. We had to direct the driver to the address of another passenger’s hotel when we realised the bus was at the wrong location. It was stressful but at least we got there in the end albeit more than an hour later than expected.

It is expressly requested in the platform at the time of booking that you provide your WhatsApp number so that the specific sector can coordinate the transfer and its details with you, but you refused to do so and continued writing to the wrong email even when we informed you again and again where you had to communicate. You were not informed about the characteristics of the city either, you were staying in an inn in the heart of the historic center, and precisely one of the most picturesque characteristics of the place is the rising sea and its small streets flooded due to the high tide. But although it is very picturesque, that detail prevents vehicles from entering the old center, and that is not something that depends on us but on the nature and layout of the historic city. Several people from our team contacted you since we are a company with different sectors and you were communicating with different departments and our colleagues each responded to you from their sector with their greatest kindness and their best intention to help you. Terrible and unorganized. I paid for a pick up service to find out is was not pick up then they asked me to carry my luggage 1 km to the depot. We missed our connection
