Constantin was great. Once I boarded, I knew I was in good and safe care. He was very intentive and professional. The boat ride was absolutely beautiful and Constantin directed my attention to several points of interest.

Had a beautiful day on the sea! Incredible views, great spots to swim and just relax for the afternoon. Constantine was very accommodating with conversation, water and Rose.

Constantine was great! He was relaxed, easy going and very knowledgeable about all the homes and boats we passed. After seeing the mega boats in the Monico harbor we had plenty of time left to visit a quiet cove for swimming and exploring a natural cave. My teenagers loved that he let them choose the music. I did the research and this is the nicest private tour that is also affordable offered. Would do the same trip again!

We were a family that splurged for the 4 hour tour to cap off our vacation, while I’m glad to have had the experience, it was not what I expected. We spent 2 hours boating from Nice to Monaco, and ultimately couldn’t get into the port of Monaco due to a massive yacht/barge taking the space. Constantin said the wait could be 30 mins and we were eager to get food for our kids, so we left. (No big deal.) We asked for a place to grab a quick bite and Constantin dropped us at a beach with one food option: a sit down restaurant where the pasta is 50 euros! We made it as quick a meal as possible and paid the 20 euro dock fee to get back on the boat with one hour remaining. Constantin then said there was not enough time to snorkel anywhere else unless we were ok with him leaving us there and we could Uber back (his words). So, back we go by boat. We reached Villefranche in 25 minutes and we asked him to just drop us there so we could some swim time in, which is the main reason we booked the tour. He dropped us off at 3 hours 25 minutes, so we didn’t really make use of the full 4 hours.
I felt rushed to end the tour even though we turned out to have extra time at the end. (Villefranche is within a few minutes of Nice.) I was hoping for an experience like the photos, including a quick swim in a cove.
I would recommend this tour to folks who like to sit on the boat and enjoy the view from afar. Constantin’s boat is very pretty and seems well-kept. If you want to snorkel or see the coastline up close, perhaps make that very clear up front. I wish you better luck than us!
Another word to the wise: pack your own lunch if you take the 10am-2pm tour and want to maximize your time. We don’t drink alcohol, so all we received onboard was one bottle of water. It would’ve been rough for adults to skip lunch, and with the kids it was a non-negotiable to make a stop for food.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. I am glad you found the boat beautiful and well-kept, and I think your family are truly wonderful people. However, looking back at our trip, there are clear contradictions between what was expected and the operational realities of a private boat charter. I would love to clarify these points openly:
The Dock Fees & The Restaurant: You mentioned the €20 fee. To clarify the confusion here: the private dock charges a €5-per-person shuttle service to take guests between the dock and anchored boats. When you returned to my boat, you paid €20 directly to that shuttle service for your family. However, when I first dropped you off, no shuttle boat was available. To get your hungry family ashore quickly, I docked my own boat directly without permission. The marina later fined me €20 for doing this, which I paid entirely out of my own pocket without asking you for a dime. I also have no control over or affiliation with the €50 pasta prices at the local restaurant.
The Mala Beach Cave & The Swim: You mentioned missing out on the cave experience. To clarify, I dropped anchor right next to the Mala Beach cave specifically so you could swim there. However, because your family decided to leave the boat to go ashore and eat, spending 1 hour and 20 minutes at the restaurant, that anchor time was used for lunch instead of swimming.
The Early Drop-off: You felt rushed when I dropped you off in Villefranche at 1:40 PM instead of 2:00 PM. However, your tour was booked to start and end in Nice. The boat ride from Villefranche back to Nice takes exactly 20 to 30 minutes due to strict 5-knot speed limits in the bay. By dropping you off in Villefranche at 1:40 PM at your request, I used the exact remaining duration of your 4-hour tour to accommodate your desire to swim there, rather than spending those final 20 minutes motoring back to Nice to pick up the next customers, otherwise I could stay a bit more for free.
Drinks: I am deeply sorry you felt under-supplied with water. I asked multiple times throughout the trip if anyone needed anything to drink, but the response was consistently "no."
Ultimately, a 4-hour tour is a tight window to travel from Nice to Monaco and back. When over an hour of that time is shifted into a sit-down lunch ashore, the time originally allocated for activities at anchor naturally disappears. I truly believe this was a series of unfortunate misunderstandings, and I wish you and your lovely family all the best.

One of the highlights of our trip to the area! We had hoped to head to Monaco but it was pretty bumpy. Captain gave us the option of continuing or pivot to go to bay in Villefranche where we cruised along gorgeous yachts, drank wine and swam. Highly recommended. Captain Constantin is a gem of a fella, kind, accommodating, good at what he does. Highly recommend.

Captain was puntual, friendly and attentive. My opinion is that the small boat needs near perfect sea conditions to make it to Monaco. The day of our trip the conditions weren’t appropriate to go to Monaco on this boat; the Captain kindly offered a refund. But we were already there and he took us around the bay. We had a good experience, but pricey.

Constantin was a communicative and accommodating guide. When searching for a boat tour of the French Riviera, we found it difficult to find one that could host a young child. We sailed with a three-year old, and Constantin helped make the experience one our child could enjoy while giving a memorable tour of the coast. Constantin was able to adjust our intended plans based on the sea state (and tolerance of our toddler) and still make it an employable experience for all.

We had an amazing day on the sea with Constantin. The boat was comfortable and clean, and Constantin was a fantastic host and captain. He is willing to tailor the tour to anything you want to do, and he offers great suggestions and also found the secret spots for swimming and snorkeling. This was our best day of vacation for sure. Terrible experience. Booked the tour. Credit card was immediately charged. Arrived at the meeting point at the right place, right date and right time. No tour operator in sight. They no-showed. Called Viator customer service which was very unhelpful. They blamed the problem on a “computer glitch” in their system. This was supposed to be the highlight of our vacation and we went to great effort to arrange our schedule. Ruined our entire evening plans. Very disappointing!! Think three times before making a booking.

We had a great time and a great conversation with the captain (Constantin). It was very easy to meet at the dock to start the boat tour, and Constantin asked us if there were any specific locations we wanted to see. We told him we were more interested in swimming in great spots than sightseeing, and he took us to a great spot where the water was spectacular. We ended up wanting to swim there more than a few spots that the tour was supposed to go to, so we had wine and swam for longer and skipped parts of the tour. Constantin made sure to personalize the experience to what we wanted, and we had a great time!

Constantin was great! He had water, rose wine, cheese, bread and salami when we stopped to snorkel and swim at Villa Franche sur mer. The water was clear and a wonderful temperature. The sea in the French Riviera does not have a tropical reef. So don't expect to see Nemo. Constantin was knowledgeable about the different areas along the coast. I wish we stopped, walked on land and explored some sites. It still was a wonderful day for the last day in Nice France!

This was our favorite activity we did in Nice. The guide is amazing stopping when we wanted pictures or to swim, and provided great wine. If you want a relaxing boat day in Nice this is an excellent option.
