Kevin provided an excellent history of Hadrian's wall. Highly recommend this guide and two hour walking tour.

I am very happy that I've made the trip. Kevin is very knowledgable and very nice. We enjoyed a nice walk, some history input, very beautiful view and fresh air. Love it.

Kevin is a great operator. He explained about the wall eg why and how it was build and the kength of time taken to build it. He was dressed in costume for the 30min pre talk and history then changed and too the group for a walk along the wall pointing out interesting things and facts. Well worth it.

An excellent introduction to the history of Hadrian's Wall. We learned a lot, and Kevin is a great guide.

Considering it was cold and wet the tour was great. We had most of the talking under the gazebo and then walked a little way to see the wall. Kevin was very interesting to listen to.

The tour guide was very knowledgeable and informative. We enjoyed the tour immensely and would recommend it to others. The tour was split into 2 parts, first provided some background information with the guide in full costume and then the walk, which was a great appetizer to explore further. To provide this info and walk at the same time would not have been as good.

Kevin was super knowledgeable about everything during this historical tour. He really made early Roman times come to life.

Seeing the wall was great. This isn’t a guided walk its a history lesson. The history was interesting but overkill. Too much, so that you would never remember most it. Better to read a book to learn that. The walk was so short, probably less than a Kilometer … or maybe two as it was an out and back which would have probably only taken 10 minutes without the stops for the lessons. The guy was great and amusing but for me he’d be better in a classroom where we could take notes to learn properly. I think he’d be a very popular teacher.

Hi Lyn. Thank you for your review. The tour you booked is described as a Roman history tour. The focus of the tour is Hadrian's Wall, the Roman Empire and Iron Age Britain. On the morning of the tour I again described the format of the tour and invited questions and checked that everyone was happy with the brief. At this point or ant any point during the tour had you mentioned that the format was different to how you imagined I could have happily resolved this for you.
Best wishes, Kevin

Excellent guide. Excellent tour. Located at a beautiful but less crowded part of the wall. Without people the wall and area are amazingly peaceful. Great way to see the wall by train in/out of Newcastle.
