Thoroughly enjoyable day, surpassed all our expectations! Kevin was a fantastic Tour Guide who was extremely knowledgable and personable. His enthusiasm was contagious and he brought the whole site to life. The Vindolanda Museum was an especial treat and I left the day feeling so inspired I now want join the 2026 excavation volunteer team! Taking a walk along part of Hadrian's Wall one could imagine what it might have looked like in AD122. Kevin described so clearly how it was constructed, what it looked like and how the Romans lived in the fort and village in Vindolanda. Fascinating! Great experience!

Awesome Guide and Tour

The tour was as described and more. Kevin was great, more than just knowing his stuff, he had passion for the history and awe at the artifacts displayed at the museum. It was a very personalized tour, he slowed to our pace and was very attentive. We disembarked from a cruise and Kevin referred us to a taxi company (Haydon Taxis) that knew the somewhat complex itinerary (two locations) which made the whole tour worry free.
