Our guide, Adel, was extremely pleasant, patient and polite. We appreciated his knowledge, sense of humour and soft spoken way, as he drove us around some of the most iconic sites near Muscat through the day. Moreover, the car was clean and comfortable. We greatly recommend Adel as a guide for those who want to see the sites of Nizwa, Misfah and Jebel Shams.

Great tour! Badar was an excellent guide. Jebel Shams is a must see when you travel in Muscat area. Pictures are not enough. You must travel there to see by yourself.

We had an amazing day visiting the Nizwa Souk, Nizwa Fort and Jebel Shams with Oman Landscape Tours. Our guide Said was very nice and took great care to give us the best experience. The Nizwa Souk is very interesting place, so also the Nizwa Fort and the Castle. Jebel Shams is something unique and a must visit place in Oman. We enjoyed the tour thoroughly with guide Said. Highly recommend this tour and the tour guide.

I have to start by saying it’s a very long day! We left the hotel at 08:00 and didn’t get back until 18:30, but it was worth every second if it!
Our guide Nasr was the perfect guide for such a long day. The perfect blend of informative, friendly and funny, he made the very long day feel short!
The initial drive from Muscat to Nizwa was very long, but the scenery we drove through was absolutely breathtaking - Oman is one of the most naturally beautiful countries I have ever seen.
In Nizwa, Nasr showed us around the Souq and recommended all the best products to try (and end up buying), giving a really interesting back story to all the products on sale. He also gave us a history of the fort as we went round, giving enough context to appreciate it, but not overwhelming us with facts.
The drive from Nizwa to Jebel Sham was again a very long drive up winding mountain passes with some of the most incredible views across the country. Once we reached the top we had a chance to walk around and take photos on the cliff edge looking down into the canyon (extra terrifying because I’m scared of heights!). The landscape is absolutely breathtaking and unlike anything I have ever seen before.
After driving back down the mountain, Nasr took us to Al Hamra and Misfat al Abriyeen to show us what life was like in the old mountain towns. Exploring under all the date palms and banana trees was gorgeous and a welcome change from the blazing sun.
After this we headed back to Muscat and we were absolutely exhausted - we both fell asleep in the car!
Overall it was an incredibly long day, but it was very fun and worth every second. I would 100% do it again!

Unmissable the stunning Jebel Shams, a lunar landscape made of rocks and mountains where you will lose the sense of gravity and hear nothing but the wind whispering around you. If you are afraid of heights, you will feel thrilled by one of the most challenging sights in your life. Hamood was a perfect driver, trip companion and…heights climber/jumper!

Its a long day but you learn alot about the history and geography of Oman.
Our guide Ali was very lnowledgable and went out of his way to make sure we saw as much as possible . The canyon is worth the time it takes to get to it.

The Nizwa fort was very interesting to see as well as local souqs (markets). We had a private tour with Ameer who was very knowledgeable about Oman history and recommended many practical things, places to see and also view spots for taking pictures.
We changed the second part of the trip to Green Mountains and the views of Jebel Akhdar were amazing.
We can highly recommend Ameer to guide you as his friendly attitude was really exceptional. A private tour was a good choice as we could take our time as a family according our own pace and abilities. PS: bonus with our guide Ameer - he brought hot homemade coffee and dates with tahini and herbal king tea. This trip is highly recommended!

Very nice trip to Nizwa and Jebel Shams - Yassir is a great guide and driver, sharing loads of knowledge about Oman. Amazing canyon :-) But be prepared for long drives.

Hamouda is an amazing tour guide! We spent two days exploring Oman with him and the experience was above 5 stars! He was extremely knowledgeable and passionate about his country. We never felt rushed and he was very flexible. We felt like we made a new friend after our time together ended. He is an excellent driver and we felt very safe through the steep, windy, tight one way roads. We had a day full of dates and coffee. The lunch stop accommodated me as a vegetarian.
Analiza was incredibly helpful. We had two days of tours cancelled due to heavy rains. She was quick to respond and accommodate us with a last minute date change. While we were on our Nizwa, Jebel Shams tour we still weren’t sure if our tour with another company the next day would be cancelled due to flooding. Analiza and the company worked out a back up plan with us, created a last
Minute itinerary with us, and waited for our answer at 8p the night before. I would highly recommend any tour with Oman Landscape Tours!

There are lots of tours on offer but make sure you choose Omani Landscape Tours!
We had a most enjoyable day out with Yasser our guide and saw some amazing places. He was on time and is good company, fun, interesting and very knowledgeable . He’s a really nice guy and most importantly a safe driver. He answered our many questions, provided lots of water, helped us in the souk and took us to all the best places to take photos.
We can definitely recommend this tour.

I took this tour on January 29, that was very productive and intense! I was picked up by a knowledgeable tour guide Ahmed at 8am from my hotel and we departed directly to Nizwa fort. When reached, Ahmed gave me a tour around souk (market), explaining when it was build, what was restored and what's not. Then I had a time walk around Nizwa fort absorbing it's ambience. From the fort we went directly to Jebel Shams - highest mountain in Oman. It's another 1.5 hour drive to the view point there. Mountain itself is 3,028m but you go to the observation point which is at 2,100m. Views are stunning! Kindly note that you won't go there during rain. After mountain we stopped at Yemeni restaurant for lunch (own cost) and proceeded to the most shocking place - Al Hamra old town. It's a 400 years old mud-brick traditional Omani village which will left you speechless... We came back to my hotel in Muscat by 5:30pm... You can ask driver to stop anywhere for pictures also. This tour was amazing. Full of history and magnificent views. Stop at Misfah Al Arbyeen was yet another surprise since we knew nothing about it. Ahmed was extremely accommodating and spent way more time with us than originally planned. Would definitely recommend this tour and Ahmed as a guide.

Fantastischer Ausflug. Wurden am Kreuzfahrtschiff abgeholt und hatten einen tollen Ganztagesauflug. Waren pünktlich zurück am Schiff. Können wir nur empfehlen. Muskat kannten wir schon und so bot sich Nizwa an.
