Amazing journey through Omani history , nature and culture , all in one tour

Amazing tour with Mr Khamfa , who is both the driver and guide . He maintained the car very well and has great driving skill , especially needed for this tour . The fort and the souk tour was really intuitive , Mr Khamfa knows a lot about history and locals , felt welcomed every steps of the way . The old village tour is refreshing , we can sit down for a nice cup of drink and take in the majestic view of the famous mountainous Oman region . The highlight of the tour for me is the drive to Jebel Sham , the Grand Canyon of Oman . The drive itself was amazing , many parts was offroad and required a really good driving skill , but the view is spectacular . You don’t expect to see this kind of view in a desert area in the Middle East . However , the drive can be a tad nauseous for people with weaker tolerance , I myself was a little bit myself , however , Mr Khamfa was very attentive and would slow down if you asked , which I didn’t . The view from the top was out-of-this world , with sheer mountain clip and deep valley . This tour was everything I could ask for and Mr Khamfa , who is a bit older than you would expected from a tour guide , is surprising strong , agile and also an excellent and patient photographer . All in all , so happy with the tour !

amazing experience highly recommend. The tour guide was very friendly, informative and accomodating. We had a lovely time experiencing and learning about the rich history of Oman and the natural wonder of Jabel Shams. We especially enjoyed exploring the mountain village of Misfat al Abriyin, walking through the local houses and mountain passageways. Definitely a must-do in Oman, it's the best way to experience the country through adventure.

Wonderful day at Nizwa and Jebel Shams ( Grand Canyon ) with our tour guide Said who couldn’t do enough for us and was very knowledgeable both throughout the journey and at each place of interest along the way. A long day but well worth it.
