Awesome Whale Encounter in Moorea!

We booked this tour on my birthday and it did not disappoint. The crew was awesome and knew right where to put us in the ocean, so that the humpback whales would pass right by us. We saw the father, mother and calf swim right past us. This was truly an unforgettable experience and one that I will never forget. I highly recommend this whale tour with Tama Tours.

A Must Do in Moorea

Perhaps you’re a little apprehensive about swimming in open water with whales? I know I was, but once you see these magnificent creatures up close your fears will disappear and be replaced with awe and inspiration. You should be a good swimmer, but a guide will always swim with you and tows a boogie board ready to assist you if you get tired. The crew was very experienced in locating whales. They were laser-focused on the safety of the whales and the guests. We had multiple opportunities to swim with the whales. While on board the boat, we saw two full breaches, and a whale that waved his tail at a us 12 times in a row! It was as if he was greeting us. Amazing! The show from the boat was an added bonus to the tour.

Incredible experience. The boat driver and the snorkeling guide were so fun. The guide in the water respected the whales while allowing us ample viewing. A must when in Moorea!
