Trip was fun. Kids loved the boat bc it had a slide. It was also smaller than many, so a more intimate group. Guides were great and very friendly and knowledgeable.

Did not go was not notified to go on ferry at 8 am we missed it
Only confirmation say 9 am meet at meeting place we were there at 8.15 and there were 4 tkt offices nobody knows
Finally one of them was nice enough to help contact but was told we had to be there at 8 am ferry

One of the most memorable trips, fantastic boat, wonderful crew, and as they said “welcome to their office”, it’s natures heaven. the snorkelling with sting rays and sharks is something I will never forget. The array of fish and turtles we saw was mesmerising. Top tip bring an underwater camera

So grateful that we had the opportunity to book this experience with this company. Everything was perfect: great luxurious boat, a very friendly and funny guide and captain making everyone feel good and enjoy every second: swimming with the stingrays and sharks, seeing the dolphins and the sea turtles, enjoying the locals’ music and food on the motu. Our excursion started with pick up at the Hilton dock which was so convenient. We first saw a whale in the bay. Then we arrived at the lagoon and had a memorable experience with sharks and sting rays. Next, we visited the coral garden and Motu Fare One. Followed by the absolute best lunch on the island. Nono and JuJu our boat crew and guides for the day were hands down the best!! It was a pleasure to get to know the two of them during our trip. The music selection on the boat was sooo good too! Ultimately, this excursion was more than we could have imagined and has given us countless wonderful memories!

This experience provides the perfect way to see so much of the marine life in Moorea.
We started out in the bay and watch a school of dolphins swim around the boat. Our guide told us about the bay and the mountains.
From there we headed to a great snorkeling area with amazing stingrays, sharks, and other fish. It was amazing to swim with these creatures. Because this experience is limited to 12 people, you get lots of time and space to see all the aquatic life.
After the swim we went to a turtle sanctuary and watched these beautiful creatures.
Our second to last stop was a coral garden for more snorkeling. We stayed here on an island for a delicious lunch that included Polynesian ceviche (YUM!). We stayed a bit longer here than expected but it was fun. And there are nice bathrooms here which is very nice.
We had great weather so we were able to go to one more location to use the slide on the boat and snorkel to see underwater statues.
The boat was beautiful, the crew was so much fun. I highly recommend as a must do in Moorea.

The tour's second stop was amazing swimming with the stingrays. The guide was friendly and had a good sense of humour. The stop for lunch was very crowded. As this was a private tour, I would think a less crowded location would have been more appropriate. This is my third tour and this is not as good as the first tour I did a year ago (Culture demo and real bbq). The lunch was average. I can say this tour is better than the cruise-organised tour. The premium we pay is for the comfortable boat we were on.

Our guide was so funny and helpful. Very friendly staff. The boat is so comfortable. Snorkeling with Sharks and Rays was fun. The food was delicious. I highly recommend.

Great experience and amazing day. We saw many sharks and rays, we had lunch at the motu (it's a unique place). The food it's not so good, but it worth it to be in the place for a while. The capitain and Strike were very kind and funny. Strike told us many things about Moorea, the legends the animals the place and the food, he take care of us every moment, and at the end of the day he also played Ukulele for us. The boat is nice, we went 9 pax and it doesn't felt so crowded, the boat has a lot of space. 100% recomendable.

The cruise in the lagoon was so good, luxury boat fab, both of the staff on boat a plus for the tour company. The sightseeing, swimming with the sharks and stingrays wow so good, snorkling in the crystal clear water great and the lunch on the island excellent. All good memories to take home. This was a wonderful excursion, one of the best we've ever had. The day was gorgeous, the island was beautiful, and the guys were great! We were a little confused at first, thinking a bus was going to pick us up at the cruise ship tender dock, as has happened with other water excursions we've done. However, we eventually found the docked boat, got on, and sailed on to pick up more people at hotel docks.
We went to a few places to snorkel and look at the fish, coral, and stingrays. We had a very tasty lunch on an island after a ceviche and a coconut demonstration, then more swimming and sliding into the water on the slide at the back of the boat.
The guys were phenomenal and did a fantastic job with the boat and the narration of the tour along the shore. They were friendly and funny and we couldn't have asked for better guides. There was beer on the boat, but no spirits for some reason.
Overall, we really had a great day and are glad we booked this excursion!

Great excursion, with Joey and Nono, Very knowledgable and entertaining crew. We had the best boat, luxury pontoon, small group of 12. We swam with sharks and stingrays, we saw turtles and corals. We ate great traditionnal food on the Motu, even with a show. This was an unforgettable experience in Polynesia, Akivai Tours Adventure is the best tour operator of Papetoai.

So happy we booked this excursion. Jon & Noarii were great! Personable, professional, funny - great time! Comfy pontoon boat, 7 of us, pointed out turtles, we saw a pod of dolphins, but the stingrays - the best!! We’ve swam with stingrays before, so fun. Included a local lunch. We all had a great time! If you book this excursion, hope you get Jon & Noarii. I wish they were on our next island tour. Thank you!!

Akivai boat was very comfortable with only 12 guests and 2 crew. We had a perfect day from start to finish. Joey and Nono (spelling) were very personable, knowledable and gave everyone on board a fantastic day. Joey spoke French to 1/2 the group and English to the rest of us. Boarding the vessel was easy and on time as planned. We were put on board at the tender port. Their attention to details and safety of all were appreciated. Lunch on the Motu was delightful. We were at the motu for a couple of hours allowing plenty of time to eat and snorkel. There were 2 stingrays there that loved people. We could pet it and spend time without crowds of people. Felt like our own private tour.

If you are thinking of a boat trip this one is well worth it. A lot of fun, lovely food and we were well looked after! Definatel a highlight of our trip. The stingrays were super friendly and we even saw a Nemo!

Honestly from start to finish it was perfect. Crew was great and you could tell have a ton of pride and passion for what they do! It was also a smaller crowd compared to other bots we saw that were packed so it was even that much better. Highly recommend!!

Joe was quite entertaining. He’s such a comedian with a wealth of knowledge. I would choose him as my guide again. Was busy taking pics, we missed the bus back to the ferry. Joes was on top of this. He took us to meet up with the bus. Never missed a beat.

We absolutely loved this tour. The boat was perfect for our group and had so much space compared to other tours we saw. Swimming with the sharks and stingrays was unforgettable, the lunch was delicious and the waterslide was a highlight for our kids. Highly recommend!!

This was the highlight of our trip to Moorea. We had 8 of us with a few other strangers added in and it was really, really great. So much to see. Great snorkling, some of which was with harmless sting rays (they were actually friendly) and little sharks. Lunch on an island with civiche made in front of us, chicken, fish and other great food. Our captain, Joe, was hilarious and entertaining. And a few beers and sodas provided as well. It was absolutely worth every penny.

This was our favorite tour ever. The guides Joe and No No were awesome they were attentive and fun. They made sure we had a great time. You can tell they enjoy their jobs. The boat has two decks there is plenty of room for everyone. We swam with sharks and stingrays. We saw turtles and whales. Lunch at the private beach was so much fun and good food. Wish we could of taken this tour again during our trip because we liked it so much.

The best part of the trip was getting to pet the sting rays and get close to the small sharks. The boat was very nice with comfortable cushioned seats and a cover to protect from rain and sun. The weather played a factor in the trip not living up to the description. The water was choppy and also murky in some spots and the heavy cloud cover made it a cold experience when wet from swimming. The turtle watching turned out to be seeing the head of one turtle and and lagoon where we stopped for lunch had very little of interest to see. Cloudy water didn’t help. However there were avoidable disappointments within the control of the guide and captain. There was only beer and soda pop to drink on the boat. We were told water and juice were only available when we stopped for lunch. The juice was basically water with a barely distinguishable taste of lemon or lime. The guide told us lunch was from 12 to 12:50 pm. He then said he was leaving to drop some of the people on our boat elsewhere and would be back. The lunch was fine but the lunch area was boring so after hanging a bit, we all went back to the boat. The guide and captain had returned and were eating. We understood this but we were all left to sit on the boat for over an hour waiting. The guide never spoke to us from the time he left us for lunch to the time we were dropped off at the hotel dock. He never explained the long wait, asked us anything about our experience or communicated in anyway except to say goodbye. He had been friendly enough up until lunchtime, but after that, he seemed more interested in the workers who at the lunch spot who made the lunch. We have never experienced anything like this on a snorkel tour before. Overall there was one enjoyable stop on the tour and three underwhelming ones and a okay lunch and way too much time sitting around.

This trip was truly a great experience and what you would expect a day out in the waters of Moorea to be. Swimming with the blacktip sharks and rays made some unforgettable moments. The provided lunch was delicious, and there was also plenty of time to just relax and soak in the sun. The staff were very welcoming, friendly, and shared plenty of stories about the island!
