Itinerary
Shortly after the founding of Montreal, the Main became a dividing line between the east and west sides of the city. The artery transformed into a gathering point for all citizens, thanks in part to the immigrant communities that developed along the thoroughfare. As an epicenter, the area has attracted mural artists locally and from abroad.
Embark on this walking tour to discover the murals in this area that reflect Montreal’s history and culture. Since the creation of the first MURAL Festival, Saint-Laurent Boulevard has turned into the country’s premier street art corridor.

Our tour guide Jesse was very knowledgeable and personable. He engaged the entire group and had wonderful anecdotes to share both personal and about the artists and the area. He surpassed our expectations, I would highly recommend him.
Gabriella was a thoughtful and friendly guide who provided fascinating insights per mural. She made sure everyone was safe and comfortable at all times. Made me want to return for Montreal’s mural festival.
We walked for two hours exploring different neighbourhoods that had both mural and street art. Our guide Pax explained the artwork and artists.
This was a really fantastic tour! We learned a lot about the murals, and Jesse was super knowledgeable. We also did a second tour with Spade & Palacio with Pascoal and that was also amazing! So consistently high quality all around
Wonderful tour guide. Learned loads about the street art scene. Covered a vast wealth of knowledge regarding the scene. Definitely recommend!
The tour was informative and interesting and weaved along the streets at a nice pace. It was also interesting to hear our guide Jesse’s personal connections with street art. Would recommend to anyone interested in street art.
I had a great time on the Montreal street art tour! We saw so many amazing murals, and our guide was enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the local street art scene. I appreciated learning about the etiquette among street artists and we were lucky to able to say hello to one of the artists at the end. A great way to experience Montreal!
One of the best tours we’ve taken. Loved all the art. Gabriela was wonderfully knowledgeable. Would definitely use this company again.
The tour was very informative, impressive. Dave is a very professional guide and a very nice person.
You’re on your feet the whole time but it wasn’t a ton of walking as everything is in one neighborhood, be mindful of the weather but the guide does make a stop at a cafe halfway through for bathrooms and drinks or a small snack. The murals are beautiful & learning about Montreal, the artists and some history behind them is fun!
Our guide was very knowledgeable about the history of street murals and the artists. The murals he selected were beautiful. It was a fun trip and I would highly recommend this trip.
Really eye catching tour! Chris was so knowledgable about the murals, the artists who painted them, and Montreal history. Enjoyed it immensely.
Chris was a fantastic guide - friendly and knowledgeable. We learned a lot about street art and the city while enjoying a lovely day outside.
Fantastic tour with wonderful knowledgeable guide. Spectacular works of art and so interesting to learn about the artists and the culture of street art. The neighborhood had a great vibe and so many great restaurants to chose from.

Such a great way to spend two hours in a funky hood. Happy to hear the recommendations list came in handy for you too! Thanks for sharing. Teynour Beyond the Market food tour next time!
So much to this world that I had no idea about. We found it absolutely fascinating, my 7 and 9 year olds particularly liked looking for bandit squirrel.
Mel was great! Knowledgeable and entertaining. I thoroughly enjoyed getting to see some murals I did not previously see when walking around and learning about the festival of murals.
Looking for a bubbly in-between semesters summer-jobber tour guide? Look elsewhere. Jesse is pART of the ART. Right up to the point of the tour where we passed by his artist loft and he yelled up to see if his wife (4-5 stories up) would poke her head out. (No, he didn't holler "Stelllaaa"". ;) ) My wife and lived down the street from the mural neighbourhood 32 years ago. Jeff made our old stomping grounds come alive even more than when we roamed those avenues long before the modern internet became a thing and we actually noticed our immediate surrounding! What a trip!!! Six out of 5 stars from your friends de la 6ix!
It was wonderful. We saw parts of the city we never would have seen. Chris out tour guide was very good. He was very knowledgeable & you could tell he loves doing it.
fabulous walking tour with many beautiful murals. Great guide very knowledgeable. A good bit of walking if you have any compromised walkers .
This was a great experience! Our tour guide Melanie was very personable and knowledgeable. We learned so much about the local street art culture in Montreal and it was a great way to explore several neighbourhoods in the city.
Your was really informative. Gabriela was a great guide. The tour covers many blocks but is not overwhelming. And although the tour was in a specific area, you can find yourself appreciating Murals in other parts of city afterwards. It was an education.
Loved the murals and learning about them! My daughter and me enjoyed learning about the artists and graffiti.
Even better than expected. We loved seeing street murals of course but being here during the mural festival and being able to see artists at work and hear from them was really special. Our guide was welcoming and clearly part of the scene with deep knowledge of artists and history. Would highly recommend.
Pax have us a fantastic tour of Montreal Street art sitting their mural festival. It was fun and informative, and Pax engaged us all in conversation. We had a blast!
Really great tour to learn all about the street art in Montreal. A great experience with a great guide! And i was lucky to go during the mural festival so we saw artists painting live!
The tour was in English. The guide was very friendly and knowledgeable about street art in Montréal. I took the tour at the beginning of my visit to Montréal, which was good as it opened my eyes to the art around the city enriching my experience of Montréal overall.

Our guide Chris was knowledgeable and enthusiastic. We learned what to look for when viewing a mural. Chris made the walking tour fun. At the end, he gave us a little pocket guide of restaurant and store recommendations.
Jessie, our guide, studied photojournalism and art history, He is working on his own documentary currently. He was so knowledgeable at connecting all the history to current events. This is art. It's not just graffiti..although we spoke of that too. High quality artists and their works...on the buildings!!! Neighborhood walk was fun and so many delicious Portuguese pastel de natas! Oldest operating synagogue. Great neighbor/wonderful buildings and houses. Lively. Great guide. Geared pace to the group and is so well spoken and cheerful. Good choice for us (seniors) and good for families.
Our guide, Jessie, was very friendly and extremely knowledgible.
