Andres was a fantastic guide. Professional, knowledgeable and very entertaining. He was taking care of our every needs, always thinking ahead and very flexible to our schedule. Our tour in Montevideo was fantastic. The guides were professional, approachable, and made the experience enjoyable. Despite having just one day, we were able to visit many sites in a short time. We arrived at Montevideo Airport at 10:30 am, and although our time was limited, booking this tour was definitely the right choice. The only downside was missing the stadium where the first World Cup games were held due to time constraints. If you have a brief stay in Montevideo, I highly recommend this tour!

We had an incredible time with our guide, Andres! He picked us up and dropped us off on time, was very likeable/personable and genial. Most importantly, he really knew a lot about Uruguay and taught us so much! He took us all over the place in a short period of time (but it was PERFECT...not too busy...exactly what we requested!) I love how he took us up to the 22nd floor of City Hall for the views, taught us the proper way to drink Mate, and showed us some incredible historical sites. Plus I may have had the best steak I've ever had in my life at the market...Overall, I would VERY ENTHUSIASTICALLY recommend this tour to anyone else, and all my friends (there were four of us) completely agree. Andres gave us an incredible tour experience :)

Andres and Mauro gave us a great tour of Montevideo. We learned a lot about the city, how to navigate it, and places to explore further. Mauro speaks great English and was happy to answer our questions and share Uruguay.
The van/bus is very nice, and being driven around allowed to spend most of our time seeing the sights and learning about them.

Andres and Belen gave us an amazing tour to our family in Montevideo. They were very flexible to accommodate our teenager preferred experiences and our family loved the tour. In addition, we learned a lot about the local culture and also suggested great places for us to visit after the tour. We wanted local flair, weren’t really into museums or buildings but that is what we got. We quickly walked through old town and under the gates to the new part of town. Would have preferred to spend time in old town. Most expensive tour on our 18 day trip and was the least favorite. Highlight was seeing football stadium

In reference that you feelt that the tour was "rushed" we need to clarified that your group arrived an hour later that you were supossed. And in every moment we keept in touch and calm you about the problem and cruiseship delayed.
Maybe that was also important to mention or add, don't you think?
The old town is mostly buildings and museums, because is our main financial district, and is not representative of what montevideo is. If you really wanted local flair the parte to see of the city is the new part of the city that is where everyone lives. As la rambla (the coast), the market among many other highlight you got to experienced in the tour.
In order to the tour being expensive, Uruguay is the most expensive country in South América so prices are in reference to local costs and can not be compare to others in the region.
Regarding the tour giude we apologized if the guides english wasnt what you expected, we have already address that as a company, we also need to clarified that your driver is a professional driver and not necessarily needs to speak english too.

We took this tour with our five small children. We were able to see the entire city in under four hours. Our guide gave us so much history. A fun day for sure.

Jaime was our guide and he was wonderful. We had a bit in common because we live in Virginia and Jaime lived five years in Arlington, VA while working in DC. Jaime picked us up at the cruise terminal and we spent close to five hours exploring the the north, west and southern areas of Montevideo including a several mile drive along the coast. Jaime is very proud of his country and enthusiastically shared Uruguay and Montevideo' s history with us.

Belen's tour was outstanding! She gave us an excellent overview of Montevideo. Not only did she show us the historical old city, but she also took us to other surrounding neighborhoods to give us a fuller view of Montevideo. Belen is incredibly knowledgeable about the social and political history of Uruguay, and that was evident throughout the tour as she answered our many questions. She was also very flexible--I mentioned that I wanted to try mate, and she took us to the only cafe in the city that serves it so we could sample some. The tour was a mix of driving and walking, which allowed us to visit many neighborhoods throughout the city while still getting a feel for details of the sites. We were even able to see some the city from some of the best viewpoints possible--including at the top of a government building and a park that overlooks the river and city. Thanks again Belen for a wonderful time!

We were all very happy with the tour. Andres was very friendly and accommodating to our needs with three little kids. Vehicle was extremely comfortable for our group of seven with lots of extra seats. Andres responded promptly previous to the trip to all our questions and very helpful to help us installing the car seats

We get to spend a few hours in Montevideo with Andres and it was the most unremarkable experience possible. Yes, he transported us between the locations and waited patiently while we took photos. But the informative value of the guide’s participation was nearly non-existent (unless you need someone pointing at the building and commenting “beautiful house” for you). No historic facts, no architectural remarks, no non-mainstream locations. It was a decent logistics arrangement, but we could have seen the same, if not more, moving around in Uber.

We are very sorry that the tour was not to your complete liking.
It surprises me a lot because there is something that I did on the tours when I am the guide, it's to talk about our history, culture, and I have even taught our tourists how to prepare and drink a mate.
From the old city, passing through its squares and monuments, parks, Centenario stadium and even the beautiful Rambla of Montevideo, I am in charge of always giving as much information as possible about each place our tourists visit. That's why I repeat, it seems very strange to me. We always seek to give our tourists who choose us a service of excellence not only in information but also in disposition.
And again I regret that the experience didn't meet your expectations.
If at some point you return to our country I would love to assist you again and change your thinking

This was the ideal way to see as much of Montevideo in a short day trip from Buenos Aires
My Guide Mauro was great spoke excellent English and we had some great conversation, I learned a lot about Uruguay and Montevideo
We extended the tour to a full day , which meant that I saw more of the city. and had chance for a wonderful meal I would highly recommend this tour if you have just a short time to visit

Belen our tour guide was fantastic! Driver Eduardo was great also. We learned so much about Uruguay. So glad we did this independent tour. Highly recommend. Only thing to say is that the picture of the beach on this site is not included in the tour and is in fact 2 hours away. Please change this photo! Was excited to see this part of Uruguay- but the city was a great visit!

Our tour guide Jamie is a Montevideo superstar. Our ship was late getting in by 1 1/2 hours and he waited patiently at the port for us. We were loaded into his very comfortable auto and taken to the towns square center. It was easy to see that Jamie knew everybody & everyone knew him. This opened doors to places and areas most tours would miss, but Jamie had all the connections. After seeing the city hot spots we were off to the beautiful beach for a wonderful relaxed time in the afternoon. Since Jamie spent years of his life as a professional football (soccer) player the trip would not be complete without a trip to the stadium. We ended our day in a beautiful market with beers. Jamie being our professional driver stuck to a 0.0 Non-Alcohol cervesa but let the 4 of us enjoy the good stuff. I also have a big shout out to Andres for organizing this tour for us. His communication could not have been better.
