Your driver will pick you up at your hotel and take you to Lethe, where you'll board a private bamboo raft and float downstream, taking in views along the way. Itinerary

Relax in nature while enjoying a quintessential Jamaican experience with this bamboo rafting private tour from Montego Bay.

Enjoy pickup from your Montego Bay hotel or vacation rental and transfer to Lethe in a private, air-conditioned vehicle. Board the 30-foot (9-meter) bamboo raft for two people and let a certified raft captain steer you down the river, while providing insights on local history. Soak up the scenery, relax, go for a swim, or purchase food and drinks from the riverside vendors.

Before your tour ends, your raft captain will give you a soothing limestone foot massage using limestone paste made from river rocks. You’ll get dropped off at your hotel at the end of the tour.

Jerry was absolutely amazing — his massage and energy were the highlight of this trip. Unfortunately, the experience itself was nothing like what we paid $258 for. The entire excursion lasted less than 20 minutes even though it was advertised as a 3-hour tour, and we were told we’d only be going ¼ of the way down the river. This felt very misleading for the price and description, and we left feeling frustrated and disappointed. I hope the company will reach out to make this right — a partial refund would be fair given what we actually received.

From start to finish, this tour was absolutely worth it! Our driver Hassan was reliable and friendly, and AJ, our rafting guide and foot massage expert, truly made the experience special. Rafting down the Grand River Leigh was both relaxing and informative. AJ gave us a fascinating bit of local history and even taught us about the difference between mature and young cocoa leaves 🍀—explaining how the mature leaf repels water while the younger one absorbs it. Despite the river appearing muddy from recent rain, he demonstrated how the water was actually clean by pouring it on the leaf—where it appeared crystal clear! The limestone foot massage was a highlight. It left our skin feeling incredibly smooth and refreshed. AJ’s skill and warm personality made the entire journey even more enjoyable. I would absolutely do this tour again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area!

Amazing experience! The driver was prompt and got us to and from the experience with no issues. Jerry was our guide and I couldn’t have asked for a better guide. He was very friendly, knowledgeable and made sure that we were comfortable. He took great pictures for us as well. Would definitely recommend.

I was really disappointed with this tour. While the taxi driver was fantastic and professional, the tour itself did not meet expectations and I wouldn’t spend money on it again. I paid £173.22 for two people including pickup, and honestly, it just wasn’t worth it. As soon as we arrived, we were placed on a raft, and the upselling began immediately. We were offered rum punch at $25 each — $50. Then they tried to sell us a limestone massage for $40 (half body) or €60 (full body). I had been told the ticket included a foot massage, but even though I paid for two people, I was the only one who received it. The actual rafting was very short — we floated for about 2 minutes before being taken back. Unfortunately, the whole experience felt like a rip-off, and I wouldn’t recommend it to others.

I thoroughly enjoyed every part of this excursion in Jamaica! From start to finish, it was seamless and so much fun. Our driver, Ron, was incredibly nice and helpful, making sure we felt comfortable and safe the entire time. The rafting experience was absolutely beautiful. Our raft guide was extremely respectful and made the trip even more special — he peeled us a fresh pineapple to enjoy, let us play our own music, and made sure we had a great time. We also had freshly made rum punch and hookah on the raft, which added an extra layer of relaxation. The atmosphere was mostly couples and small groups, and the vibe was very chill and authentic — a true escape from the resort scene. The massage was excellent, focusing from the knee down, and it was the perfect way to unwind after rafting. I know there’s talk about the men on the rafts being aggressive, but that was not our experience at all. I believe it truly depends on who you book through — and with this group, everything was handled perfectly and professionally. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a real, laid-back Jamaican experience!

10/10 would recommend! Your driver shows up on time picks u up at the hotel drives you there, WAITS FOR YOU so theres no anxiety and its same the driver so no stranger anxiety. The raft tour itself, also amazing!!! Everyone was so freind ly and the vibes were ON POINT. Your raft guide is the one that takes you down the river, gives u the message, and you can order drinks and smokes from him too! Also he had his own bluetooth boombox and gave us his phone and to control the music so we got to create our on party vibe, doesn't get better than this, he even has a beach umbrella on the raft to protect you in case it rains! Again worth every penny do it!!!

Fun experience. Our guide was super friendly but was on his phone a lot during the trip. He was pleasant and the area is very pretty where the trip takes place. Lots of opportunities through out the trip to purchase drinks and trinkets.

Our driver/guide Rohn was awesome. He was very friendly and answered all of our questions. He went above and beyond to give us an authentic Jamican experience. There were a lot of people Rafting the day we went, so the river was pretty crowded. But the environment was beautiful. There were river guides who made sure they gave a memorable experience. Unfortunately our raft guide. MOONEY, did the bare minimum. I look forward to returning to Jamaica and requesting Rohn for our next adventure.

Really enjoyed this excursion & my captain “Maro” was very accommodating! Took some nice videos & pictures of me on my phone because I was SOLO.. I really appreciated that. Also he had a radio and was able to play some MUZIK I like! While experiencing the Lime stone foot massage he also informed me about the benefits of the limestone so that was good to know.. Highly recommend this tour especially if you’re solo & looking for something to do comfortably alone.
