Arrival Instructions : After clearing Immigration and custom at Montego Bay Airport, go out to the arrival hall. Use the first door on the right, exiting the terminal at the Information Desk. Once outside, turn to the right and walk towards the Groovy Grouper Bar, Our Representative will be standing behind the barricade, holding a sign, displaying Jamaica Transfers Onlines. Once you have identified the Jamaica Transfers Onlines Agent, she will escort you to your ride.

Be ready to wait at the airport for your driver

So the drive itself was fine. We had anticipated that purchasing a private transfer would mean our driver would meet us at the airport. This was not the case. Viator connected us with their agent who was arranging for our ride along with numerous other groups. We stood around for somewhere between 20-30 minutes waiting for her to call and driver and get them to come pick us up. We said for that amount of time we simply could have hailed our own taxi.

To clarify, airport regulations do not permit drivers to park and wait onsite. Instead, they must remain offsite until called by our airport agent to pick up guests. During the festive season, traffic congestion can cause a delay of about 10 minutes or more for drivers to reach the pickup point. We understand this may have been frustrating and appreciate your patience during this busy time. Your feedback is valuable to us, and we will review our procedures to see how we can make the pickup process quicker and more transparent, especially during peak periods. Thank you for choosing our service, and we hope to have the opportunity to serve you better in the future.

Not convinced the cost of worth it

Our flight into MBJ was delayed 20 minutes in ATL for de-icing. When we arrived in MBJ and cleared immigration and customs, I went to the area as described to locate the people from Jamaica Transfers Online. The lady said I had provided the wrong flight information; which I do not believe. I couldn't prove what flight information I had provided when I made the reservation over the phone and she would not tell me what flight information I had provided. This caused a delay of approximately 90 minutes before we were able to depart the airport for Ocho Rios. Once in Ocho Rios, the driver tried to drop us off a the Sandals-Ochi resort in Ocho Rios rather than the Beaches-Ocho Rios resort; I had to give him direction to the resort. We arrived at the resort a little before 5:00 PM. We decided on a private transfer over the resort provided transfer in hopes we would get to the resort quicker and in better comfort than the bus--neither was true. Because of the issues experienced getting to the resort, I contacted Jamaica Transfers Online the day prior to our departure. I wanted assurance that the driver knew where to pick us up at and that he/se would be on time. The Jamaica Transfers Online person told me that the driver had reported to the company that he had tried to drop us off at the wrong resort. I asked if we could have the same driver since he knew where the resort is. She said she would put in the request but the drivers were not assigned until the night before. On the day of our travel back to MBJ, we had the same driver and he was sitting in the parking lot 30 minutes prior to the scheduled pickup time. As when he drove us from MBJ to the resort, he pointed out points-of-interest and historic places as we drove along. Except for the delay departing MBJ, the ride was fine as was the return trip. Not sure we will use a private transfer on our next trip to Jamaica.

Additionally, as you did not book the vehicle for the entire day, we cannot have it waiting indefinitely without confirmed flight details. This policy ensures efficient scheduling for all our clients. Regarding the incorrect initial drop-off at Sandals Ochi, our drivers are knowledgeable about the various resort locations in Jamaica. However, we regret this misstep and have reminded our team to double-check all drop-off details to prevent such errors in the future. We are pleased to hear that the return trip was smooth and that your driver provided an enjoyable and informative journey back to the airport. Your feedback is invaluable, and we will use it to improve our processes and communication.
