Enjoy a relaxing and romantic experience in nature with this Lethe River (Great River) bamboo rafting private tour from Montego Bay.

Your experience starts with pickup from your Montego Bay hotel or vacation rental and transfer to the Lethe River in a private, air-conditioned vehicle. Board the 30-foot (9-meter) bamboo raft for two people and let a local guide steer you down the river, while providing insights on the local flora and fauna. Soak up the scenery, relax, and go for a swim if you want.

Along the river, you’ll find vendors selling beers and food, though you’ll be provided with a coconut drink during your 1-hour rafting experience. Before your tour ends, your guide will give you a limestone foot massage using limestone paste made from river rocks. Your tour concludes with drop-off at your Montego Bay accommodations.

Hands down the best Bamboo rafting experience I’ve had in Jamaica and I’ve tried Martha Brea River. I took my family (2 young daughters 13 & 9 as well as my mother) to celebrate my 13yr olds birthday. The river rafter Toto and his colleague gave us an exceptional experience. We were provided decorative rafts with the signs of “Happy Birthday” which my daughter and family liked. Unlike Martha Brea bamboo River rafting experience where I was taken 500 ft and then stopped at the river bank shallow water for a quick foot massage, here at the Lethe River experience that actually River rafted a good distance down the river and allowed my family and I to jump in the river and enjoy the cool fresh water. Toto and his colleague got fresh coconuts from a tree nearby and they also made us straws from thin bamboo sticks which were amazing and we kept that as souvenirs. Toto and his partner were beyond professional during their full-body limestone massages. Their energy and music they had going made the trip that much more enjoyable. I highly recommend doing this Lethe River Bamboo rafting experience especially for you and your family.

It was so nice! The ride from my hotel was around 40 minutes and Richard picked me up! He was friendly and got us there safely. We stayed for a little more than a hour, would say 90 minutes. All of the “captains” 😂 were nice and provided information on the River we were riding on. Would definitely recommend if you’re looking to meet people and enjoy Jamaica’s beautiful island.

This was very relaxing. Our captain (idk how else to refer to him) was very nice and as we were rafting he gave us historical facts about the the Limestone & The Bridge. He also offered to take our pictures which was very nice. I gave this tour 4/5 stars because our captain forgot his speaker & I wanted to listen to some tunes. Overall the raft was super cute and I would book this again. Pro Tip: Bring cash for bar. Bring Cash for food (in case you want jerk chicken). I saw previous reviews and watched Tik Tok videos before booking...was a little skeptical but also curious. Arriving to Montego, I decided to take the leap to book my first tour on a week-long vacation. I'm so glad I did! The ride to Lethe was comfortable, thanks to my driver, "Bean" who shared about the history and personal experiences living in Jamaica. The ride was a little over an hour, long enough for nice conversations that built a sense of safety and assurance as a solo rider. When we arrived "Beans" guided me to the river, which at the time was swamped with men and vendors (a lil' intimidating). Again, his warm personality and gentle guidance made me feel safe. He introduced me to my rafter, Derrick, who took it from there....one hour later + one full body massage, I had a new friend/uncle! Derrick was very professional, took amazing pictures, gave the most firm and relaxing massage and was a pleasant gentleman (I wish he was my regular masseuse...and where did you train??!). I will never forget my time in this community nor the people who made it special for me. I would definitely do this authentic tour again and bring some friends.

Andre did an excellent job. We were educated about how the crafts were made and what they were made with. He told us about the how long the river is and he played some of the best music that helped create a whole vibe you wouldn’t want to miss!! The limestone full body massage was very relaxing and I even purchased the limestone because I love the way it left my skin feeling. Book this tour! You’ll be satisfied!

This was an awesome experience. Our driver Richard was very nice and went above and beyond to ensure we had a great experience. We were a group of four and our captains were Antwon and Alex. They were both awesome. They made it a unforgettable experience. The massage was relaxing and the scenery was beautiful. This was the best part of my trip.

Richie was the absolute best driver. He called when he arrived. He walked me to my raft and Torto (turtle) did my massage. He’s a great photographer so tell Richie pair you with him if you’re a solo traveler. Then Richie took me parasailing and to get dinner. I had the best day ever and when I come back, I’ll definitely be booking him again.

The was the most relaxing and enjoyable experience ever. From the time our driver Richard picked us up to the the time our tour guide Jamey welcomed us. Richard enriched by sharing lots of cultural knowledge of the island during our drive. Jamey was the best host as we were allowed to sample the sweet sugar cane and mouth watering coconut water. We were supplied with refreshments and the best jerk chicken and coco bread as we glided through the river. We then topped it all off with a deep tissue Limestone Full Body Message from Jameys blessed hands. Best Birthday ever! I will return!

My skin is still soft 3 days later !!! I received the full body lime stone massage from DayDay ..who was also my tour guide ! He was so nice and made me feel comfortable and assisted with taking my pictures since I was by myself . If you go, I would recommend asking for Day Day ! The tour itself was fun , it rained for a few minutes off and on but they give you huge a umbrella so you don’t get wet. They also give you fresh coconut water and pure sugar cane .. Souvenirs, rum punch, and jerk chicken is also available to purchase

May 2022 • Friends The level of professionalism was phenomenal. They guys made us feel comfortable and were very respectful. Richie our AWESOME driver went above and beyond to accommodate our trip to and from the tour...pointing out tourist attractions along the way, telling the history of places and even stopping for us to get local food. Toto and his partner who gave us the tour and massages, were AMAZING. The atmosphere is calm and relaxing. They have different theme rafts and the teamwork these men displayed was admirable. If any ladies have a concern of feeling uncomfortable with receiving a full body massage...I can honestly say this is not the case with this particular team. Only thing is that it says that alcohol is included, but the wording need to be adjusted to say for purchase. We were kind of thrown off when we had to pay for our rum punch, but overall it was a great experience. We'll worth the price and I would def do it again.
