This tour is highly recommended. We arrived by cruise ship in Valletta and therefore only had one day to explore the beautiful island of Malta. Christopher was an outstanding guide—extremely knowledgeable and spoke very clear, easy-to-understand English.
He had many excellent suggestions for beautiful places to visit, and the entire day was tailored to our wishes. He also made sure we visited the sights in the opposite order of the tour buses, which meant we avoided the large crowds.
It was a fantastic experience, and we couldn’t have asked for a better guide.

Mark is a great guide with a lot of local knowledge. We had a really wonderful day out and saw so many amazing thing's that finished with a dip in the ocean. Mark is a fun happy guys so that also adds to the day, his car is high end and extremely comfortable and spacious. We had a fantastic day seeing the sights and ruins of Malta

Without a guide you will miss some amazing stops. Mark took us to Hagar Qim which I didn’t see many years ago. It was so nice being on our own time frame so we could have lunch in Mdina and do some shopping The city is spread out so impossible to walk and see everything

We were collected by Christopher right outside our hotel front door on time to the second. He was friendly from the start and immediately made it clear this was our day to spend as we wished. No pressure from him to do anything in particular which is refreshing when you consider some guide experiences can be highly prescriptive which this was not.
As we made our way from one location to another we often stopped briefly for a piece of history or natural wonder that we wouldn’t have necessarily spotted on our own. Christopher is very knowledgable making him a great guide and was able to bring stories to life with local colour and his own local family history.
He always found a way of beating queues and stopping as close as possible to destinations to make things even easier.
We were with Christopher for the best part of seven hours but it only felt like half that number and we could happily have gone even further afield than we did.
We cannot recommend him highly enough. Friendly, knowledgable and professional at all times. We were made to feel like royalty on tour.

Our tour guide/driver, Chris was absolutely fantastic! As a proud native of Malta and an avid historian, he provided a truly unique experience. Chris took us to some off the path sites where no tourists were around as well as the must see Bronze Age Hagar Qim, Mdina, Rabat and others. A real Malta bucket list day of learning..

Mark was an excellent tour guide and showed us a fabulous day on Malta, including a gorgeous Blue Grotto boat ride, several Neolithic sites, a yummy lunch and visit to Rabat and Mdina. He was very pleasant, thoughtful, helpful, flexible and knowledgeable. The day was full of interesting and fun activities, yet flew by. Mark is very easy to spend time with and I would highly recommend him to anyone looking to tour Malta and/or Gozo.

Christopher provided the best Viator tour we’ve experienced, and we’ve taken many. He was very knowledgeable of Maltese history, and his English was easy to understand. He was thoughtful, opening car doors for us, and providing cold water and special Maltese treats. His driving was always safe and respectful, and he worked with us to tailor the itinerary to our interests. He also gave us useful suggestions on how to view the sites and avoid crowds and long lines. We thoroughly enjoyed seeing Malta this way.

Excellent! Christopher corresponded with us in advance, picked us up in a beautiful car at the cruise port and helped us decide how best to see all and MORE on our list, parking right in front of sites and getting close to front of lines! He was always outside waiting or a very quick park away. He told us the history of Malta, various neighborhoods, hopped out of car to grab freshest strawberries, real Maltese coffee (delicious) and other local treats from vendors he knows (he knows almost everyone in Malta!)
Christopher is a very professional tour guide and driver - definitely someone top travel advisors would be proud to recommend.
We hope to go back again!

I came to Malta to see all of the ancient ruins. We got Christopher as our guide. Christopher was very knowledgeable about the sites we were seeing. He gave us both the mainstream architectural views of the ruins and also his own views of the ruins which were the same views I had. He also took us to some sites that I had even heard of like the second hypogeum. Now the Maltese government has done nothing with the site so all we go to see is the over grown grass and the plaque that they put up telling us what was there. I definitely recommend this tour and Christopher as your guide. He has put in the research of all of the sites he taking you to see.

We had a tour with Christopher and he was phenomenal! Very polite, kind and super knowledgeable about Malta and Gozo. We visited numerous historical and fun sites across Gozo (after taking the car ferry from Malta), learned a great deal and at the end Christopher gave us a basket of strawberries that we had been looking for all day! What a gem!!

We had a fantastic time focused on the Megolithic site, local villages and the sea. Mark took care of all the arrangements, dropped us at all the places, took care of parking, tickets a great lunch recommendation, and delightful insights about Malta. We were thinking about a self driving tour, but this maximized our time and was so much easier. Plus as the normal driver, I got to look around. Highly recommend this.

Marco was an excellent guide. He made sure my father who uses a cane was assisted when he had difficulty with walking distance. My family did not feel rushed in any activities and Marco gave us great recommendations of places to go. We learned a lot about Malta’s history but especially how friendly and kind the Maltese people are. I would highly recommend the tour. Also thank you to Marco for the pastizzi treats they were great!

It was our first trip to Malta and we booked the tour on our first day. Christopher arrived to collect us as organised and on time. The car was lovely and clean, he was fantastically friendly and put us at ease at once.
Christopher asked us what our interests were and said he would work with us to ensure that we had an amazing day that ticked all our boxes.
He was knowledgeable about everything Malta. We booked the full day tour and we were amazed at the amount of places we got to see. We stopped in a little fishing village for lunch which was gorgeous great food from a restaurant recommended by Christopher. We also had regular stops to take photographs of key places.
We would highly recommend Christopher as a private guide thanks for a fabulous day and sharing your beautiful island with us.

I only had one full day to enjoy Malta, on a cold and rainy day, and booked a private 8-hour tour with Island Adventures. My guide Christopher was very helpful, told me a lot about the island, and very much tried to adapt the day to my interests. As a native Malta resident with a long family history here, he had lots of useful information to share, pointed out several places with personal meaning to him, and was in good spirits all day. I had a very good intro to the island!

Christopher, our driver, was incredible. He customized the itinerary for what we wanted to see and ensured we were back to the cruise port on time. Communication through text and WhatsApp was simple leaving us stress free.

We met Christopher at 10 am not sure of what we wanted to see. He mapped it all out for us and adjusted sights as he got to know our interests! It was Fantastic! 7.5 hours flew by. Really liked that it was him or a partner so you don’t need to be concerned that you are going to get a random person after reading the reviews mentioning names.
