Beautiful way to experience both islands. We had a wonderful day! The boat ride was rough, but we expected this so we took dramamine before. Highly recommend this tour.

sadly the period the trip was taken was during our monsoon season which provides unpleasant sea and weather conditions
better periods would be during Mar-May/Oct/Nov

One fantastic day out. The weather wasn’t the best but the team and specially Daniella, made the most to help us with arranging options. Had time to walk around Valle de Mai, cycled the entire island of La Digue whilst others just enjoyed the beach! Loved the flexibility of it all!

This is a very nice trip to both Praslin and La Digue. You will experience the beaches, small villages, Coco de Mer stop in Praslin, watching the turtles in La Digue and enjoying the endless beauty of the nature. Biking in La Digue was very nice. The creole lunch was tasty.

I liked the fact we could visit two islands on the same day. The islands are just wonderful. About the trip I must highlight three negative aspects that probably Viator do not know: Viator does its best! But the operators are not always the best..
1. The boat is very old, not in good condition and is quite dangerous; Something in the boat burned, in the middle of the journey, there was a burned smell, we had to be on the water about 15min (with the boat balancing or floating which made me sick and nervous but the worse is there wasn’t an extintor on the boat! If a fire would happen (and we were not far from that…), we would have to jump on the water (with probably sharks around and we a would all loose our phones and cameras! and risking our lives). Viator should definitely speak about this with the operator because there are many other good and safe boats.
2. The driver of the boat was extremely rude and abrupt; he cannot be in contact with the tourists because his abruptness is extremely shocking.
3. We were obliged to remove the shoes before entering the boat and the floor of the boat was dirty. Not difficult to get a micose there…
4. At Praslin, it was not given the time and the opportunity to visit the most famous and world heritage park Vallé de Mai. The fact that we have to pay the entrance, is fair and absolutely fine. The problem is to wish to go in, and no chance.
This is important for Viator to know and improve by speaking with the operator or changing the operator.
To change the boat and the driver of the boat, is really a MUST!

thank you for your review...we are glad you enjoyed some of the journey...
regarding your concerns:
1. the boat is not old, salt water is very intense and so with continuous back and forth journey the boats tend to start to look it, however are still well maintained. we apologize that you had a bad experience with the boat, however sadly these challenges happen and could have happened to any boat, sadly sometimes these things just happen, however the team did everything required to ensure all guests safety and did bring you back safely. they are very aware of what needs to be done in these situations or would not be allow on the water.
regarding the extinguisher, we assure you this is not true as the boat would not have a license to be on the water if it did not have this. all boats are checked and are denied operation should even the smallest issue be found.
2. sorry to hear that the driver was unpleasant, we will reach out to ensure this does not happen again and do apologize for that behavior.
3. note removing shoes before entering boats is a general rule in Seychelles...even if you are to enter a luxury Yacht you will need to remove your shoes.
4. being a shared excursion there is not enough time to enter Vallee De Mai. if they were to enter, they will miss La digue island as it takes sometimes up to 2 hours inside.
for guests who wish to enjoy the inside of Vallee De Mai we recommend our private excursions whereby a family or couple are on their own with the guide and can explore to their liking.
this shared excursion is for guests to experience the best parts of the island in the short time they have allowing the experience at an affordable rate.

This was an amazing tour. Our tour guides were knowledgeable and very accommodating to our entire group. I could not have asked for a better experience! Praslin was as advertised, it was sad that we could not do more in the Vallee de Mai but considering the time, it was fun to get the education on the Coco de Mar that we got. If you can, skip this portion and go straight to La Digue as you will have more time at the beaches in La Digue. You would miss out on Anse Lazio beach, which is beautiful and worth the time, but that's the decision you have to make two beaches and an educational experience or one really amazing beach with more time. La Digue is the best and Anse Source d'Argent is the best place I have ever visited.

so for those who wish to see more of Vallee De Mai this would be the way to go.

Prasline was s joke. Didn’t even go to the heritage park to see coco de mar. They pull off into a parking lot and show you two coconuts then take you to an average beach. La digue was awesome and i recommend going.

Thank you for your review. Please note you had chosen a shared trip. Being on a shared trip you need to take consideration of the other tourists around you and booked the same trip as you. It was clearly stated that you visit the OUTSIDE. Would you have seen it necessary to walk in the Vallee de Mai that takes up 1 hour 30 to minutes/ 2 hours to complete? How would you have had time to visit other places if you took that much time in one area? Maybe not all 25 or 45 tourists would have walked the same pace as you do.
The average beach you mentioned has been considered by Lonely Planet to be the 'best beach on Praslin' we as locals cherish and appreciate this. Anyhow everyone has their own view of nature. Thank you.

Sites visités extraordinaires à,Praslin et à la Digue avec des plages paradisiaques. Les guides sont ponctuels très sympathiques de même les conducteurs : navettes , bateaux et trucks ( la Digue)

De tour op Praslin en La Digue waren mooi, al vonden wij Praslin leuker qua strand. Groter en rustiger. Anse Source d'Argent viel ons wat tegen. Lunch was top. Grote issue was de kapitein van de " Seagull" deze dag. Daar moeten ze afscheid van nemen, die verprutst een leuk uitje voor vele mensen. Onredelijk, schreeuwen tegen de gasten en zelfs bedreigend. Echt niet normaal. Tourbegeleider greep ook niet eens in!
