We had fantastic time walking the streets of Livorno and learning local history! The meeting spot was very conveniently located right of the cruise shuttle buss drop off spot. The city has incredible story of its humble beginnings! Our guide was very captivating the time flew by quickly!

An absolute delight from introductory stroll to concluding arrivederci! Pierino is the perfect host/guide for this stroll around the old port town and the new post-WWII city of Livorno: historical highlights, cultural insights and philosophical views shared through an engaging conversation with Pierino while strolling the cobblestone streets of lovely Livorno. Who wants to travel all the way to Florence or Pisa just to look at old buildings? Just skip it and spend some time in Livorno instead! We were so fortunate to spend a morning with Pierino. We were super late because of a delay getting the shuttle from our cruise ship but Pierino was so kind to wait for us! It was just my husband and I on the tour so it was a very relaxed experience. Pierino has lived in Livorno his whole life and knows the city inside and out. He has a pre planned route he takes you on which was nice but my favorite part was just asking him questions about Italian life. He speaks approx. 14 different languages, just kidding, only 4 or 5 ;) He probably speaks better English than I do. His intelligence is very obvious and it was an absolute pleasure spending time with him! Very highly recommend.

Pierino was an excellent and knowledgeable tour guide for our Livorno walking tour. Being born and raised in Livorno, as well as being a high school teacher provided a wonderful history lesson. He pointed out the old partial remaining walls that were not bombed in WWII as well as the underground canals. It was a fascinating tour. It ended with some of the best espresso and cappuccino in Italy! I highly recommend Pierino. He also does tours in Florence and Tuscany wine tours.

My husband and I went on this tour in early June and it was fantastic! Pierino was wonderful and so knowledgeable. We lucked out and were the only people on the tour. We learned so much about Italy from Pierino, more than any other tour we went on. Highly recommend!
