Lovely drive into Wales showcasing the best of the countryside. Conwy Castle entry fee is worth it, currently £15 per adult. The tour guide was excellent- he spoke at length about the area and its history which was very informative. Lots of comfort stops along the way. Wales was beautiful, I plan to return one day.

We had a wonderful experience on this excursion! It was a fantastic way to see so much of the beautiful Welsh countryside in one day.
Our guide David, was excellent. He was incredibly knowledgeable and shared so much interesting history and information throughout the day. His stories and explanations really helped paint a picture of what we were seeing and experiencing and made each stop even more meaningful.
In Conwy, we didn’t purchase tickets to go inside the castle, but we still thoroughly enjoyed exploring the area, walking along the town walls, and taking in the exterior of the castle. It was stunning to experience even without going inside. The smaller towns we visited were charming and gave us a wonderful feel for the local area.
The scenery throughout the excursion was beautiful, and we appreciated having the opportunity to see places beyond the typical cruise port stops. Another huge plus was not having to worry about getting back to the cruise ship on time. Everything was well organized, and we felt confident and relaxed throughout the entire day.
We highly recommend this excursion, especially if you want to see more of Wales, learn about the history and culture, and enjoy the day without feeling rushed. And if you’re lucky enough to have David as your guide, you’re in for a treat!
Our guide was David - shared a lot of information during the tour. It was a long drive from Liverpool to Wales but it was enjoyable because of the information he shared with us as we passed some iconic areas.
THIS IS NOT A SMALL GROUP TOUR! 42 people on a large coach. We thought this was a small group tour!! We received messages from two different sources on meeting place and who to look for before the excursion. It appears that this tour was grouped with another tour by the operator. This tour was very disappointing. We spent a lot of time on the bus with only two stops. The guide, David, talked about each stop while we were on the bus but we were completely on our own after arriving at the locations. This was more like a shopping eating tour. The first stop was just under an hour and we had 1 1/2 hours at the second stop. Definitely not enough time to explore. Would not recommend this tour unless you want a bus tour.
Wonderful tour! Make sure to climb the castle walls in Conwy! David was a great tour guide. He told us so many fascinating stories. He took time to show us around town and answer questions. Really appreciated his expertise!
This tour was good, however there were a few issues. Our guide (David) was extremely knowledgeable—almost like a history professor. Unfortunately, many people fell asleep while he was describing the looong history of the area and the Wales history. Just like being in a high school history class.
Our biggest concern was his lack of concern (and the drivers also) for my friend (and others) as she struggled to get on and off the bus while using her cane. It was a most difficult task for those with canes—neither driver, nor guide ever offered a helping hand to anyone.
I know we did not get much time in any one place because of the long drive required to get to Wales. Would have liked to have been in only one place with longer time. Definitely felt rushed.
Vincent was organized, kind and very knowledgeable about the history and people. He made sure we all had his phone number in case we needed to Contact him. The scenery at the national Park was beautiful.
Absolutely fabulous day trip! We were so thrilled to have found this tour. Vincent was a fabulous tour guide and our bus driver Chris was top notch as well. We learned so much about the region and marveled at the natural beauty of Northern Wales. I wish the tour had been longer. I would definitely recommend to anyone visiting the Liverpool area. 10/10.
Poor communication. The provider had confirmed the booking through Viator, then No Showed. After frantically messaging them through Viator while spending 50 minutes looking for their driver or bus, we inally had to go through Viator to get a response and a refund. Lost the opportunity to visit Wales, as we were in port one day.

We emailed to advise that the tour was not operating, and unfortunately you were unable to access your mail. As soon as you made contact with us on the day, I believe we suggested alternatives, and the process to obtain a 100% refund. Very rarely, due to operational reasons a tour is cancelled but we do advise gusts prior to travel
Driver did not show up. We were on a cruise ship and when we went to the meeting site the driver was not there. We called and found out the tour was canceled. This last minute cancellation prevented us from booking another tour.
Tour guide was Rob with Your Shore Time. Locating the meeting point was easy, short walk from Liverpool cruise terminal. Scenery is spectacular driving past the coast and through the countryside. Unfortunately, Conwy Castle was only accessible with paid tickets and partially closed due to construction and filming. Parts of the walls were shut and by the time we found the main entrance we were out of time at the stop. Proper planning would have the bus drop us closer to the castle’s main entrance rather than in town to navigate in the heat. The stop in Betws-Y-Coed could have been longer and the last stop at St. Asaph shorter. This would be a 5-star review if not for the frustration at Conwy Castle. Rob played some nice Beatles music along with some great points about the history.
We originally had a tour planned from Liverpool to Wales. A few days before getting on our ship it got cancelled. There was an alternative trip we found going to Wales and booked it. Stood at meeting point for a while only to find out that was also cancelled. They sent a message cancelling but, didn’t get it cause we didn’t have WiFi on the ship. There should have been an alternative arrangement. We wound up going on hop on hop off bus and road around city.
I loved this excursion!! I did it a few years ago. Took a friend with me this time to show her how great it was.
The local tour operator and guide were amazing. They love the area and were knowledgeable and supportive of a family member with mobility concerns. Viator was horrible- I would give them a 0. My tour city was changed last minute, communication was very very poor and they sent my self and a family member information related to bookings we did not make in different areas of the world etc.
Ed was not scheduled as a guide for our tour but was a very informative and well spoken gentlemen .Someone on our tour asked how he looked so young but really he did look like a young man .But was very worldly and took his time making everyone was comfortable
and making sure all questions were answered.
As he said no question is silly but silly if you leave the tour without asking the question

There is an entrance fee of 15 British Pounds per person to Conwy Castle that was not provided or specifically excluded despite description of "visit to Conwy Castle".
The tour Operator was contacted and he/she refused to reimburse cost of entry fee because we were taken to the Conwy Castle visitor center which was free.
The fast drive in the Wales countryside through winding hilly roads in a crowded packed van was unpleasant and I developed motion sickness on the ride. My husband had a paid ticket but couldn't go due to illness (not refunded). He would have been very uncomfortable in that crowded van for 6-7 hours.
The tour operator combined different tours together with different tour descriptions from several different booking platforms and cobbled one tour that was close to what was described.
It was great to get out to other areas from Liverpool. Beautiful country side and scenery. Ed was a wealth of knowledge as well as a gentleman. We had ample time in each location on our own and walking tour with Ed as well. Had time to enjoy local foods with a coffee and a pint!
tour cancelled by operator. They sent an email two days before but our ship was at sea and we did not receive the email. we waited for an hour after the pickup time in the rain at liverpool docks but were unable to contact the operator and it was too late to book another excursion. Travelled 15000 klms only too be let down.. most disappointed!

The trip to and in Conwy was wonderful. Would have loved to have more time to tour around. Giving this rating a 4.5 star because of the trip stop in Betws-y-Coed. It is really just a place to eat and walk around. If you don’t like dogs this is not the place for you as this is a very dog friendly area. The ride up into the countryside was fabulous. Ed is very knowledgeable, had nice humor, and showed a passion for history of the area. Dave, the driver, was careful and skilled- especially going through the arches of the castle walls in Conwy. All in all- we would recommend this trip. The bus was like riding in luxury and very nice!

Many thanks Jennifer! I will pass on your kind words to Ed and Dave!. YEs, we are a nation of Dog lovers, but they are nearly always on leads! The sherry though as you say is beautiful.
Tour itself and our guide were terrific. The vehicle used was awful. For some, the new, Mercedes mini bus (approx 25 passenger) would have been perfect as well. However, for any of us 5'10" or taller, it was misery. I am 5'11" and my knees were crushed against the seat back in front of me. Every person of si mm ilar height had to move to the aisle and sit diagonally and put our legs in the aisle, to be able to fit in the seat.
Like I said, some would have no issues at all with this, but for me and several others, I would have canceled on the spot if it were possible.
I thought airliners were difficult, they provide twice as much keespace by comparison.

Hi Bill, I am sorry to note that leg room was an issue on the Mercedes, which as you say, is a new vehicle.
I will be taking this up with our local coach partners, to see how we can perhaps make life easier for taller people. One of the potential solutions, is to offer 'extra leg room seats' (at no extra cost) for those guests over a certain height. I will keep you ported. In the meantime feedback is important whether positive or negative, as we continually strive to improve teh quality and content of our tour programme across all destinations. Thankyou
