We booked the service, to pick up at the port in Civateccia at 9:30 a.m. to bring our party of 6 to the Rome airport for a 1 p.m. flight Once paid, the ticket did not include the time and meeting location. I reached out to the provider 2 days prior and asked to move the pick up 15 minutes earlier based on cruise updated disembarking time. I didn't hear back. I reached out again the day before the pick up and asked again and noted that the ticket didn't have a pick up time or location. The only response I received was "destination". Well that caused me a lot of worry, because the transfer was booked to the Rome airport, so why were they asking for my destination? I replied with the info and asked them to confirm. They never responded - which made my last day on vaction very stressful and honestly ruined the last vacation day for me because I was afraid we wouldn't get reliable tranportation to the airport for our group and we all had to get back on time, due to work obligations.
When we got back to the ship, I had to call Viator who called the company and they confirmed a 9:30 pick up. But honestly, I was still nervous!.
Fortunately, the driver was there for the pick up and we got to the airport on time - so it worked out. He did actually arrive by 9:15 (left me 2 calls and a mesage), but we didn't go to the meeting spot until 9:25 - because they verified a 9:30 meeting time, not the 9:15 we requested. A little communication goes a long way.....It would have saved me stress and given them a better review.

i can t believe you are writting this review ... you had the transfer in time , whatever you needed , it was enough to call or whatsapp ,not send messages to viator that they are read by operators in India or Bangladesh, do you undurstand what it does to our bussiness???

I was grateful that the driver turned up and got us to the airport but his attitude and driving wasn't good and at times we feared for our safety. He was using his phone all the time with his hands, making and receiving calls, texting and looking up information on Google. He drove with a certain recklessness particular in the port area at roundabouts, he had to break hard when traffic built up and he wasn't fully concentrating.
We paid a premium for this service and I do not expect to be scared.

probably in your country the driving is different and you are getting scared even from your shadow , in Italy driving is more agressive and the use of a phone wearing a bluetooth in the ear is allowed ,it is missing just another frase we hear a lot, "how fast are you going??? 130 km per hour (speed limit) , oh, in my country only 65 miles per hour...:):)

The driver was very communicative prior to the day of pick-up, which was wonderful. He was on time and waited for us as the disembarkment from the cruise ship was delayed about 20 minutes. I would recommend using this service. The car was clean, the driver was great, and he got us to the airport safely and in plenty of time to get through the Rome airport.

Not really worth the money - got the WiFi in the van on way to airport. Driver never got out the car to let us know he was there with our name on a sign - had to call him to find out where he was located then walk to him. Said he was not allowed to pull up to where everyone else was pulling up to pick up their passengers.

hello, the driver did go out of the car and put all your lugguge in the trunk , outside the ship there are different parkings , one is for the buses ,one is for us , limousine service, where you were asking the driver to pull over was the taxi stand and we are not allowed to stop there penalty would be loosing the permit for the port for parking outside the limousine service parking ... we are sorry you had to walk 30 seconds to the car , but those are the rules at Civitavecchia port...

Booking this private transport from our cruise to the airport was hassle free and made our travel experience better. We had four adults with 10 suitcases and reserved a 6 person sprinter van; it was just enough room for our luggage and for us to travel comfortably. When we got off the ship, we were greeted, on time, with the driver holding a sign with our names on it. The travel time from the cruise port was about an hour. We had early flights and our driver made sure we got to the airport on time. This was a very professional service and we will definitely be using it again,

The driver was on time, courteous and spoke English well enough to be able to converse with. The trip started out a little rough. We had reserved the van for four pax and at least 10 pieces of luggage.we were on 2 month trip. We were told when the driver showed up, that it could not handle the load amount forcing us to get a second van. We were not made aware of the load restrictions prior to that morning. We were delayed arriving at the port because we waited for the second van to arrive. I just wished we were informed prior to our arrival of issues that could or would arise. I will still continue to use viator for our future travel needs, but better communications is much appreciated.

He went above and beyond to help us when the port was closed. He called us after we were dropped at the shuttle bus and picked us back up when the port reopened.
