Fantastic way to experience Civitavecchia as a local

Our host Georgiana was wonderful and informative. She had taken time to seek out the best places for us experience off the beaten track for guests to enjoy. We had a small but perfectly formed group (with a couple that had returned for another visit) and walked through some of the less touristy areas where locals frequented to see some hidden gems and a great option for me for breakfast close to where I was staying! On the way we sampled delishous pizza, eaten on the street with the locals, a fantastic l'aperitivo experience, sampling the best of the day's prepared small eats (Stuzzichini), together with a drink of choice and then a gelato stop. I had the most wonderful red wine which paired wonderfully with the food. We all had to make sure we left space for gelato! The final visit was to a forth generation gelato shop where we selected our choice from a wide variety of flavours to savour. Overall it was a fantastic way to spend an evening, Georgiana was a wonderful and informative host who was keen to seek out the best experiences for her guests. I highly recommend booking with her and will do so again when visiting. Georgiana also does morning/ afternoon experiences which include the bustling daily market. That is definitely on my list for the next time I visit and was a lovely way for me to start my holiday before I set off on a cruise.
