We had a terrific private excursion for two people with Belen. She was clear on communication ahead of time and arrived exactly as promised for our hotel pickup. She was very professional, was very conversant, and had a lot of local knowledge of Tenerife - she made the day a terrific & relaxed experience!
We did not go to Los Gigantes so we could spend more time at our other spots with views that were simply amazing. Based on what we wanted to do, Belen took us to some local spots and on unique routes in order to maximize the mountain & sea views and get the full Tenerife experience.
Masca especially can be a difficult driving experience, but Belen's knowledge and expertise in getting around made this a perfect trip. And Garachico was an unexpected gem for us to visit. I highly recommend Gloma Travel, it was a fantastic day!

I really cannot rate the excursion because it was canceled by the guide the day before. Apparently he was sick and tried to change the date, but my vacation days are already planned out.

This was the most unethical tour operator we have encountered in 40 years of traveling. Our tour was for Thursday, on Wednesday evening the operator contacted us and asked if we could go on Friday instead of Thursday as the tour guide was sick. We agreed, even though it was not very convenient for us as we had an early flight to catch on Saturday. On Thursday evening I got a notification from PayPal that Viator had refunded the money we had paid for this tour. We were shocked, we were all set to leave on the tour the next morning at 9 am. We made frantic attempts to reach the tour operator both via texts and phone calls. No luck. We reached out to Viator Support. The lady from Support tried her best to reach the tour operator but had no luck either. She tried to find alternative tour operators, but couldn’t find any. All she could do was apologize profusely. We were devastated as Masca Valley tour was the main reason for our Tenerife trip. We were still hoping against hope that the tour operator would show up Friday at 9am as promised. We were at the meeting point at 8:35 am Friday. But no luck, the tour operator did not show up. At 9:15 am we gave up. It is now 10pm on Friday night, and we still haven’t heard from the tour operator who with disgusting sliminess canceled our tour and deprived us of a much desired tour. DO NOT BOOK WITH GLOMA TRAVELS. I now even question the wisdom of booking with Viator which has really no control on the Tour Operator’s behavior and can only wring its hands in helplessness should something go wrong.

What happened?
Unfortunately, unforeseen events can sometimes arise that are beyond our control. In this case, the guide who was scheduled to lead your tour had an unexpected health issue that forced us to cancel the excursion at the last minute. We understand that you initially agreed to reschedule, but the guide's health situation worsened, which required us to definitively cancel the tour.
How we handled it
As soon as we learned of the definitive cancellation, we sent a message and an email at 10:17 p.m. on Thursday, September 16, to inform you of the situation and the full refund. We are aware that this notification came very late, and you may not have seen it in time. We regret that this caused you such confusion and great disappointment.

Garrigachico is a truly charming town as is Buenavista and the drive to Masca along a very twisty road is exhilarating. Diego was a great driver and a very enlightening tour guide.we found his comments about immigration and emigration from Tenerife fascinating.
